Align T-rex 450 Pro 3GX build

The radio should have been in 120' swash mode prior to setting up and setting the 90' (I think) I started setting my 3GX up before even fitting the servos. I connected it all up, put it into DIR mode and set the servo horns to 90'. Once the servos were at 90, then I installed them into the airframe. With a little subtrim they were near perfect when I came to setup properly. Certainly in DIR, and the collective at 0', and 120' ccpm the swash should be level.

As Helimadness has just said, I think I'm going to have to reduce the flip and roll rates as its very sensitive compared to the 1.x I was running before.

I'm using the throttle curves from the manual, normal 0,40,65,85,100 and idle up 82,82,82,82,82. Could anyone recommend some pitch curve settings for normal and idle up please.

You need a flat throttle line in norm mode as well 0, 0, 85, 85, 85 so your only flying on pitch.

I use flat curve on both normal an idle up.
Pitch curves I like normal = 40, 45, 50 , 75, 80 or 100 and linear 0, 25, 50 ,75 ,100 on idle up.

Hey

Just waiting for my 450 pro swash levelling tool to arrive tomorrow and then I can adjust the swash. The normal 450 size one I was kindly donated does not have long enough prongs on it (arghhh) Then I need to work out a way of removing the sd card that my little angel put in the cd drive of my iMac so I can install and update the software on the 3GX (CD copied to 120mm disc). Or I need to dig out the old laptop and do 8 months of updates on it before installing the 3gx software on that.But hoping to have the time to finish it off for Wednesday and maiden Thursday.

Plus does anyone know how to steam a canopy back into shape? The one in the kit was warped due to the packing in the box.

I used hot water then stuffed with news paper overnight

had the same canopy problem. Got the wife's hair drier on hot, the canopy goes all floppy, stuck it on the Heli with a pencil holding it off the main gear till it cooled. No more warped canopy!

The 3GX setup was going very well until I updated to the V2 software. I understand I have to go through the dir setup again but where do I adjust the servo reverse? Is it on the Tx or in the 3GX software in the dir/setup?

I get the swash moving up and down with the pitch channel reversed so it goes up when the throttle/pitch is increased and down when at 0. But when I move the elevator up the swash moves back and vise versa. The same with the aileron move right goes left. When I reverse the elev and aileron in the Tx it all goes wrong.

I did not touch the transmitter in my upgrade from 1.2 to 2.0 but I had to do the reversing in the setup on the 3GX using the transmitter sticks (the re-flash of firmware wipes everything). Sorry away at the moment so cannot see manual or heli.

Thanks. Now sorted the problem out on the second time of doing the DIR after a rebind. For some reason the firmware did not upgrade on the heli 3GX unit but all done now and showing V2.
