Align T-rex 450 Pro 3GX build

Hi I am doing a build thread on my 450 pro. This is my first build so hopefully I will get some help when I run into trouble!

So far this week I have annoyed the postman no end and got all the bits I need (I think).

The power supply for the Multi4 will be here tomorrow. And I'm hoping the heli kit will be here in the next 3-4 days.

One thing I have forgotten is connectors (dam). I was thinking of using EC3 with 14 AWG wire will these be ok or will I need the EC5?

Anything else I have forgotten?

Ec3 my advice mount speed ctrl as shown in manual there is a cut out for battery connection leads. Mount the 3gx up top and rx if used upside down on shelf before skids. You will Mead ext cable from speed ctrl to 3gx. Dry assemble first when happy lock tight screws one by one. Nearly finished mine but bored with it now.

Looks like you have gotten everything apart from some sticky back velcro for your battery, and maybe some loctite but you do get some in the kit. also cable ties are something that you will more than likley need, have fun on the build and read the book carefully

EC3 will be a very good connector to use, EC3's, Deans or 4mm Bullet connectors are perfect for the job

Ahh thanks for mentioning the sticky back velcro I had forgotten that! Loctite blue is in the tool box waiting with some small cable ties.

Just ordered 10 pairs of EC3, 1 meter of black 14awg and 1 meter of red 14awg. Plus sticky back velcro for the battery packs.

OK why the awg wire? Have you servo ext cable?

The wire is for a 30cm extension/adaptor lead. I need to keep the 4mm female bullets on the multi4 battery input for my mCPx unbalanced charging lead. The 30cm extension/adaptor is for 4mm male bullets to EC3 so I can charge the packs safely in the ammo box.

Does this make sense? Im not 100% on the charging and batteries yet although I'm getting there!

I have servo ext cable.

Deffo EC3's on this size machine, EC5's are for bigger birds.

Have you checked out the 450Pro build videos over at Helifreak?

Not sure if you have the Pro V1 or V2, but either builds can glean a lot of useful tips and info from good 'ol Finless.

Rich, the Finless 450 Pro vids are for the V1, so there will be a few minor differences in servo and frame layout, and obviously he won't cover a FBL setup. You should however still find most of the vids useful.

Smart move taking a picture of the bench that tidy. I started my build like that. Has never looked the same since :-)
