Well the wiring has beaten me for now...

Thanks for the pictures everyone. I will go through them all again tomorrow with some fresh eyes lol.

This is where I'm at. Just trying to do the final install of the wiring so I can braid it and make it all nice and neat before setting up the 3GX.

Finally got the ESC under the battery tray (very frustrating).

    All ready for the morning.

    Thanks

to get my servo wiring to go under the lower mainshaft block, I had to have the main gear removed as there isn't the room to get it in there otherwise.

Here's a vid I just found with the wiring done similar to how I have mine.

Run the servo wires on top of main block and loop around canopy mounts. You can fix to mounts with Velcro strips.

              Morning

I think I've found a solution to my wiring but it involves using servo extensions to lengthen the aileron & pitch servo leads. Will using these affect there performance in a big way or will it be ok?

              Thanks

Should not affect it but it is one more point of possible failure as the plug could come undone in the air (a dab of hot glue will stop this)

Since weather is crap making an effort to finish mine now.

I don't understand why you need next cables on servos.

Run cables along top as show in pic under the canopy mounts then into 3gx. There is enough spare cable for a nice radius.

But yes you can use ext cables. There is a slight degregation but minimal at best.

As has been said before, yes you can do it, and you won't notice any difference, but I can't see why you need to. you just have to be creative with the routing of the cables. Perhaps take one of the side frames off and route it through. If you do that I would take the head and main gears out. You'll find a way, but I don't think extensions are the way!

                      Hey

I have tried every way to route the cables and was looking into running all the cables along the bottom of the frame. Just had to extend the servo wires. But not doing that as alastair said another weak point. Im going to try your way now, nofixedabode, to check the clearance. If its ok I'm running them that way.

                      Thanks

                          Hi

I've just done it and there is enough room! They will be staying there. Just sorting out the rest then I will get a pic up

                          Thanks

There is a bag with two shims in that you can use to take the play out with.

Servo and ESC wiring done. The clearance is good under the top mount for 2 wires but a little too close for 3 so put the ESC wire along the bottom of the frame then up to the 3GX with the rudder.

Now onto the receiver and sat.

Thanks for all your help on the wiring
