You would be better running those two servo cables on top of block and secure around necked portion of block. The way you have it now you risk fretting cable to block edge and possible fretting from servo horns.

      Hey
After lots of messing around I've finally decided on the servo and ESC cable route. I have now moved the aileron and pitch servo wires so they go under the servos then above the motor mounting plate and across to the right (from the back) then under the gyro/anti rotation bracket to the 3GX. I have kept the rudder and ESC cables the same to avoid contact with gears/servo's.

When the wiring was run over the top of the servo's after 15-20 pitch movements the wire was getting closer to the servo horns.

Now to stick the receiver and sat into position.

            Hi,
Looking good. One thing I would definitely do though. You have some wires going into the frame, on the side where the satellite is. You may want to put some braid or spiro wrap where they enter the frame as they will more than likely rub on the carbon frame, cut through and potentially short out.
Otherwise looking good. Have fun with the maiden.
            Cheers, Rich

              Thanks

I was thinking of using some heat shrink on the areas where the wires go through the frame to stop the chaffing. I have some braid and wire wrap to do the rest I'm just waiting for the heli to be set up just incase i need to strip the servo wires out or something.

I'm just reading through the manual now to start the 3GX setup later. I have decided to update to V2 software first as the reports seem to be very good.

              Thanks

v2 is very good' but will need to adjust parameters on elev & aile to 40% then cyclic behaviour to 80% & maiden today flies very nice.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

                            • Hey

                              First question after step 1
                              IMG_0459.jpg

I set up the radio gear and put all the servo horns at 90 degrees to the servo before I started the 3GX setup. Now I've started to setup the heli I changed the swash to ccpm120 in the Tx and now the swash is not level. Will I need to re adjust the servo horns now to level the swash before going into DIR setup?

I'm thinking yes but not 100% sure

                              Thanks

                              • Fairly sure you should enter DIR mode then get the servo horns as close to 90 as you can then sub trim them to 90. Start with the Ele then bring the other 2 up to match. Take the head off get the swash level with the tool then refit the head and setup your pitch. I'm certainly no expert but have done a few times lately and just upgraded to V2 today on my 500EFL.
When I finished setup I went into the software and reduced the ELE and AIL travel limit so I had about 9 deg. Was 14 after setup by default. Also I reduced The flip and roll rate a fair bit as was very sensitive. This is just what I did and I'm no expert so get someone else to verify.
