7 flights at sunny MK. In fact it wasn't all that sunny, it was cloudy but there was almost no wind. It was good for close in hovering manoevres, so that's what I did.

Medway Massive RC
1 flights on Goblin 700C
5 flights on Protos Max
A great session today for the 2D chumps. Would of been a cracker if the Goblin had stopped nodding...
Some good flights with the Protos and a little progress for the freestyle. Still trying to get the new moves to the field but can't hit the right pitch at the right time! Installed the mid pitch beep to try and help. Hit a new current draw of 208 amps messing about with climb outs and overspeeds.

Cheers, I think it looks even better in real life. I love the yellow/black KSE colour scheme and carbon skids - it's a real looker for sure. I'm debating whether or not to fit the yellow skid and tail fin stickers or just leave them all black like it is now.Originally posted by cjm180 View PostThat is gorgeous looking heli! I got 3 flights at the local field with it this afternoon and it flew great. I was a bit apprehensive about the 3-blade head as people seem to have all manner of setup issues with 3-blade heads in general but this flew fine on stock BeastX settings with a low cyclic gain. It seems really stable and tracks very nicely across the sky. As for head speed I did the first test flight at around 2700 rpm and that seemed okay for sport flying, but I don't think I'd go any lower than that. Then I increased to 2900 rpm for the second flight which gave it plenty of power for effortless smooth 3D. On the last pack I very briefly ran it to just under 3100 rpm but then some tw@t appeared and asked if I could stop flying because I was spoiling his quiet garden time and he couldn't possibly tolerate another 5 mins. I don't know how he copes with lawnmowers and tractors in the field? Anyway my plan is to run between 2900 and 3200 rpm, which I think is going to work well for my flying style. I expect it will have some fairly serious grunt up at 3200 rpm, which is the SAB recommended max speed for my motor and stock gearing. I'm still very much in the honeymoon phase, but I think I'm really going to enjoy flying this heli.SAB Goblin 380 KSE - latest love thang

Eynsford Model Helicopter Club
2 flights on Goblin 700C
4 flights on Protos Max
A great session at Eynsford today. A great club that made me feel very welcome and has a great atmosphere. Got to fly in front of a crowd which was good experience for GR but the nerves were there in force. Watched some great flying and even managed to borrow a NEO to test the Goblin nod. New NEO = no nodding. Had 4 good flights with the Protos but the nerves held me back.
