Kind of a mixed positive day...... after much absence, firstly few the Trex 600 Ebay special....... got the nodding sorted, but still a bit of a waggle on the tail, thought might still have too much gain dialled in.... It flew ok, but needed a bit of trimming, but the tail just seems quite slow and not very powerful....... Then flew the Trex 700, actually quite settled, couple of stall turns and circuits, its tail is SO much more powerful than the 600, nearly did a loop but bottled out at the last minute and stayed in stall turn mode (last loop I did was rather expensive!!!). Landed and then bloody hell, dragged in the long grass and shredded the tail blades... bugger...... Then had another flight on the 600, taken some gain out and much better no wagging (well just a very slight wag every now and then so a little more to dial out) trimmed a bit more, but again, the tail holds, seems ok just not uber powerful......
So a positive day just got to get the guys to give a shorter grass circles, the fixed wing area is bowling green smooth, just need an area where the grass is manageable!!

I lucked out with the weather today, no rain at the field and fairly bright with very little wind. Then on the way home it rained but by the time I got off the train it had stopped.
I'm getting the Raptor gasser more dialed-in little by little. Less swash gain, a little more tail gain. It has a longer boom now and 710 mains and flies very well. Just a little engine tuning left to do I think (still seems a bit rich).

Pretty crappy day actually.
Got 4 flights on the Ballistic, not my best flying but was enjoying that.
Put the Ox3 in on the 3rd flight. I think the servo horn slipped again flipping inverted as it seemed to go out of control. Not so bothered as I was throwing it around a lot and did some inverted grass cutting
Was getting the hang of flying my Vortex too, until I followed the wrong fence, then it cut out, dropped from the sky and that was it. We searched for over 45mins but couldn't find it, and then it started to poor down so we had to go and rescue all our other kit still out. TBH I don't think I'll be getting it back now, and if not I don't think I'll get another one, it's put me right off.Pete

Medway Massive RC
2 flights on Protos Max
Had 2 flights on the Protos at lunch today. The wind was stronger than I expected but still had some fun trying out the auto bail out. Had a few panic moments but it recovered in time. I can now start auto practise with some confidence. Also had some piro practise and tried a few new things out.
