CMHC had an away day to the new BMFA National Centre. What a fabulous venue, Manny from the BMFA made us very welcome down to supplying chocy biscuits in the fridge! Beautiful weather, slight cooling breeze and the flight line to ourselves! Suspect everyone else is at Weston Park.
Really enjoyed flying the Synergy N5C all morning and being aware of the improvements.
We all flew virtually non stop and had a great day.
We will definitely be going again. Thanks to the BMFA for setting this up and to Manny for making us all so welcome��

It was a fabulous day at a very sunny MK today. It was very warm with almost no wind. Waveydavey put the club's barbecue equipment to very effective use.
I had a great time; 10 flights and no crashes.

So here it is for then. Perfect weather. Red hot sun, little wind. So, of course there was nobody at the field.

So I put 2x flights on my X5. I learnt that the X5 tail sucks at less than about 2400rpm which is a shame, as about 2300rpm it's great fun apart from the tail kicks out about 45 degrees when you load the head quickly. I messed with both governor and tail pre-comps to see if either were to blame, and they weren't. The problem goes away as the head speed goes up.

I also put 2x flights on the Raptor E700. I honestly think it might be time to let that go. I don't think I'm getting anything from having 2x 700s in the fleet. One is always going to be second best to the other, so I might as well keep the best one and show it some love with a new ESC, or at least a mikado current sensor.

A very pleasant day today. Sunny of course as it is MK.

Only five of us turned up but that allowed plenty of flying time and some good chat.


It was a bit breezy but not too bad. I am still rather hesitantly trying to learn stall turns.

10 flights today on the protos. Managed to destruct a main belt on the first flight of the day but nipped home for the spare one. Nice easy fix on the Max V2 so soon flying again. Also managed to kill a small bird today who decided to cross paths with carbon blades poor thing

Two of us from CMHC returned to BMFA Buckminster, had the whole place to ourselves all morning. Lots of flying ended with my faithful Synergy hitting the deck (dumb pilot!) Minimum damage should be repaired very soon😇

Good turnout today at CMHC, nice weather good company what more do you need? Synergy repaired and test flown.
It was great to see the return of a former club member after several years out flying as confidently and competently as ever and another scale model completed a very successful maiden.
Need a few more weeks of this weather to keep the smiles on our faces😇

Gutted. Its still in the car as i cant face it.
Tomorrow is another day so ill take a look and see what damage is done.
