Did YOU fly today??

Sun shine & near zero wind speed-went for a fly. 1st batt on my 450 getting my thumbs back upto speed, 2nd batt went for it!
Did my 1st inverted backwards circuit clockwise whoo-hoo!!!, then same again anti-clockwise, so much adrenalin flowing I was shaking & had to land it-but with a big stupid grin on my face. Did a few more with the next batt, some OK, others I fell out of (mainly stalling out of them) climbing too high (too much negative pitch) or banking over too hard (& not enough pitch-coz I'm a wuss)
Put the 550 up & found it easier-but I swear I could feel my Visa card shaking in my pocket
Been doing all of this on the sim for a year now. I finally grew a pair-LOL. Just need to smooth it all out & blend the transitions better.

Another good flying day. Started foggy but the sun finally came out. Just came home from flying and for the first time I did a proper rainbows and mini tictocs on the 7hv without changing my pants. My right leg and my fingers on the otherhand were shaking like mad and have to take a few deep breaths. Vbar agility of 95 doesn't work for me, 85 is perfect. No more 7mins flight time, I have to cut it down to 6 without killing my packs. 6 packs went too quick for todays session. Spent 1hr 30 mins on the field today, I even forgot my watch out home of excitement to go out flying. Confidence is all time high on this bird.

Well ladies and gents that's the hat trick done

3 days in a row flying and no mishaps

More work on backwards flying today with a few forwards inverted circuits and a few part 1 half piro flips, why does the second part from inverted to upright feel so unnatural?

Today was one of those days when a generator would have been an excellent idea could have stayed all day

I managed to get out again today, but this time I had the 500Pro DFC with me .

It was lovely and sunny, hardly any wind and 3 charged batteries to go through. Having loads of space again filled me with confidence so a couple of batteries through the MCPX to calm the thumbs and nerves down and I was away.

First flight was to dial in the right amount of expo for me, after swapping to the Tx and just a hover and side on hover practise with adjustments on the tail gain, its better but some more work needed. Almost tipped it on landing due to an unseen tennis ball that got blown under a skid!

Second flight was just checking my adjustments, orientation practise and a flick up into idle 1... Wow with the 10% increase in head speed (75-85 flat line) it turned into a very stable heli. I was very impressed but my push it up to 88% to move it away from 2400rpm a little more. And of course more gain adjustments. Happy with normal mode now but idle 1 needs work.

Third flight was again checking adjustments. A little less gain on normal and less on idle 1 but ran out of packs to do more! More hovering and orientation then i thought idle 2 could do with a test... again wow! even more stable but more of a twitchy feel. Switched back to idle 1.

Another great afternoon of flying (for me) and a confidence boost. I will post the vids up in the build thread.

have had a few lovely test flights today -with raptor 90se fbl , been testing this cheap TGZ380 FBL unit , worked great apart from my exhaust problem.
little shocked how a cheap unit can work so great no problems with it all. A great day for flying.

Another 2 flights on the 700e! Absolutely loving it now big time!! I also took my little Trex 150 up with me and I really like that too!

It's the first micro that I can loop, flip and roll! And it's a fast little sucker too, I know it seems to have a bit of a mixed rep but I am definitely feeling the love for it!

I got out today took my jenny had a good 10 flights I was at the field most of the day, I'm loving my r e700 Iv had about 20 or so flights on it now. It's my first 700 size heli and what a heli it is.

Iv got a few different size packs, Iv got a 3850 mah set a 4000 mah set a 4500 set and a 5000 mah set.
I love it with the 3850s it's crazy light only getting 3 mins flight time though but it's 3 fast and hard mins lol what a heli loving it

Well, Im out early this morning. After school run, went straight to flying field. 500 with 4 lipo. First pack went very well, doing flips, rolls, rainbows and inverted hover. On the second pack I decided to take it slow and do basic maneuvers. As I was doing clockwise circuits, lost orientation as I was flying heli quite far from me. I had not even have the time to hit throttle hold as I was not expecting the heli to go in until I heard a thud. Usual suspects were broken, boom; gears of torque tube, main gear and bent main shaft. Luckily servos are all good. It's the first time I have crashed the mks 9660a and they held up well. After 2 hours of repair, she is good to go. Had a quick hover at the back garden and she flies smooth as ever and the tracking was perfect. I beginning to love this digital pitch gauge. That's my last flying day of the week, working tonight for 3 consecutive nights. Hopefully next weeks weather is good on my days off.

Ok so Friday evening is a baaaaaadddd time to fly up the Ridgeway! All was clear when I set up, I noticed a couple of cars arriving whilst I was flying and then all of a sudden I found myself swarmed with dogs and dog owners!

The buggers would not go away as they wanted to see my helicopter despite me politely asking if they wouldn't mind holding back while I land and get out the way for them! In the end I had to land around 100m from me (even though it was the 700 I could only just see it!) and walk to get it!

Never flying up there on a Friday evening again!! That was very close and I cut the flight down to 3 mins so I could land and clear off.

I have just posted a cheque off to join a local heli club mind but the Ridgeway is such a nice and open place to fly, or at least when it's not full of inquisitive dog walkers that is!!

Well didn't fly to day but did this week gone. Done some really good inverts with MY ALIGN 450/500 and tried to do some stall turns getting there really enjoying 500 more. Mark g r1 has show some really good pitchers that day . Flew with my Mobius camera strap on marks 550 and on my 450 had some really good videos all finished with happy faces. Took the trex700N up the field this morning, it was quite cold and windy on the cliff at Lowestoft (26mph), had a couple of flights and went home......too cold on hands

Had a couple of flights with the Logo 400 but it was too windy for it, but at least I've had my fix for the day :-)

Took the 700, the 550 and the 450 up to the Ridgeway! Had to hold on while some horses were loaded up and then I had the place to myself!

The 550 still has a massive dead band on the sticks despite going through the setup completely so need to sit and figure it out but the 700e is just pure joy to fly!

The stiff breeze had no effect on it at all and I was enjoying flying it so much it almost went too dark to fly just as I landed!

I flew the 450 to check it out after its crash and all seems well apart from a little blade tracking.
