To be really honest,it scared the crap out of me!!
Only gave it a short test flight but flippin hell,its a different world compared to some of the stuff I've flown- had to fly it without the canopy as the donor motor from the Align 550E is 3mm taller-leaving less than a gnats chuff between the end can and canopy,,, Quantum 4115 is on its way,courtesy of FastLad - then I can open the taps and give it some welly,,,

I'm pretty gutted I couldn't join the Medway massive today, definitely the best weather for a long time. I did manage to squeeze a flight in on the Logo before the sun went down though, feel a little better now lol.

Spooled up my newly built trex 500 DFC today without the blades, my first big heli but bottled it when I thought about having a go with the blades attached. Next weekend for sure.

another cracking day at the field today - the sun was out, the sky was nice - what else could we ask for on a Sunday? got 10 flights on the 700 when I called it a day - so thats 25 flights in total for the weekend - actually not bad at all ...

I have met the guys from SCHA, Gaz and Tony but not a member. Seemed pointless when I was with mcpx. Now it's a slightly different matter, need a club for sure milly0812.

Great day down here. I will say, it was a bit windy but I'm not complaining because it was warm enough for shorts and a t-shirt so that suits me just fine.

Maidened the Triabolo and all went well, do dramas. The cyclics feel a bit heavy so I need to look again at the swash limits and then maybe up the agility or something. It's real close mind you, just needs to be a bit more snappy for my liking. But it is a big heavy beast after all.

(The canopy is a work in progress and needs a bit of tweaking, it's just sticky vinyl so if I don't like it I can peel it all off)

Typical weather improves just when I'm waiting for replacement blade grips. Guarantee when they arrive it'll be back to high wind and rain again.

Yeah I went to Epsom Downs and decided to maiden the Triabolo so ED was fine for that as it was just lots of gentle flights to make sure everything works and check the LiPo voltage etc. So, boring to watch I'm sure and more suited to the crowds over there that are astonished just seeing a helicopter fly!

the good old rappy 90 had an outing today
the 600dfc had a play in the sky
but the e550 shut down after 2mins and 75% let in the battery and would spool up again even with a fresh battery
i can say autoing with the cgy750 is a non-issue
