Maiden e700 today, uneventful, just need to spend a little time on tail. otherwise v/good first impression.

Just 2 flights this afternoon and with certain goals in mind I'm slowly but surely advancing my flying. No issues with the heli whatsoever, just the pilot

I tried my first autos today. They were BAD, but now I'm not afraid of practising them.

I was trying to send the Fusion out in a blaze of glory, but 6 flights, one successful auto out of about 15 attempts (thanks to vbar bailout) and it's still in one piece.

Working at the local country park today and spotted a perfect fenced off area with low cut grass which was a tighter spot to fly in than the usual farmers field but perfect for the 500 and a good way to sharpen up the fingers. Only drawback besides the frequent showers today was the wind which peaked at 34 mph according to my windy meter (licked index finger pointing North LOL).

Anyway I had the usual 2 flights with the DFC and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Two flights on the 550dfc at 6am after finishing a night shift and another 4 when i woke up this afternoon

Must have been feeling brave because this afternoon i attempted my first ever blade stop

had a couple dry runs of going positive pitch until they were almost stopped and then went for it lol

the thing i quickly discovered is i need a lot more height to get speed back into the blades as it really does drop like a stone

One flight. One crash. Completely dumb thumbed. Not done that for some time but got lucky. One of my hardest hits
but got away with just broken skids, maybe feathering shaft.

Took the 550 out in a new field today (20 acres), the first time I've flown it in anything bigger than an acre. So much fun like a kid in sweet shop.
Can finally chuck it about properly.

Had a great day at ARA with Rich, Dave, Dean and a few others. Also got roped into having a go at my heli A test and somehow muddled my way through. A great site and hopefully I'll visit again in the near future.

Great day out at ARA with Tony, Dave Rand, Dean, Dan and Ian (plus the names I've forgotten!). Watched loads of good flights on very different machines and witnessed a couple of "A" tests and I think I will give it a go once I've sorted my BMFA out.
