I use
Double Sided Foam Tape 19mm x 10m | Maplin
Seems to work well for me on both my v-bars and vortex. But never tried it in comparison to the 3M tape.
For the beastx I used to find that PU-gel was best and then either a zip-tie or piece of velcro tape to really tighten it down. Always had vibe issues with the standard and aftermarket gyro pads.Comment

I tried the pu-gel, excellent vibe isolator but far too wobbly for gyros.. it needs be really tightly strapped down. Its perfect for reducing the jello effect on fbv tho.

Yep managed to shift my bum from settee, test fly my 550 with a fu-bar and was quite surprised to say the least, only had a couple of optimizing flight. But was like trying a Vbar for a maiden. No dramas.

I had 4 flights with my 600 at sunny Milton Keynes. There was no wind and I practiced lazy eights under the supervision of my pal R4ND0M. He is an expert because he passed his A in the summer.
