No work today so had the club field to myself! Three packs through my Mini Titan finally starting to get to grips with circuits (almost!) fingers became very cold resulting in a hard landing which broke the skids! Quick trip to Midland Heli to say Hello to Matt and buy replacement all fixed and hope work have nothing for me tomorrow either!!!

A little bit warmer here in Spain with the SUN shining bright, but a chilly wind didn't stop me have 4 flights each with my Trex 550DFC and 600EFL PRO.

2 batteries on the 450 at lunch, hands flipping cold after each flight. Practising my flips, trying to get them more axial. Some OK and some blinking awful...more stick time needed. Also practiced slow piros on the spot, getting better at them slowly. Also did some controlled flying low and near me (not too near but not 10m away!) round in circles, CW & CCW so I don't get handed.

Very COLD wind this afternoon, but the SUN warms the car up ready for after a flight. Just had 5 flights with the 550DFC some nice BIG smooth aerobatics along with the usual 3D of Rainbows, Piro Flips, Chaos, Funnels, Hurricanes. Also trying some Slappers and Metronomes. Turned very dark later and looks like that's it for this week according to the weather forecast.

Not today..had some help with some of the fallen trees from last winter still up on the hill... rung up, loaded and tipped 3 loads into the barn.. 5 or 6 tons..knackered. Broke my pole saw though.

Hell yes I flew today! Flew a 450 size for the first time today and what a difference! It felt so stable and safe compared to my Gaui Hurricane 200! And the 450 has a proper gyro so the tail felt epically well locked in!

Didn't do anything too fancy as it was dark and I was flying under streetlights but just that one short flight has sealed my fate in being addicted to helis now!!

Feeling ever so slighty chuffed with myself too after finally getting my head around half piro flips in the sim on Monday morning after a nightshift I put it into real life practice today with 5 packs on the 450 followed by 3 on the 550 pretty much just doing this manoeuvre

No heli's were harmed in the making of this and didn't really have any "Ooops" moments either

I've been in a bit of a rut lately with sticking to what I know and not really trying anything new so today was a big step forward I think

Only 2 flights with the 550DFC today. Very COLD wind and darkening clouds. Chucked it down last night, so didn't want to get caught out. Maybe better tomorrow?

i had 5 packs on the trex 450 pro and 4 on the 550 wasn't too cold around lunch looks like its good for tomorrow too charging packs as i type who said you cant multi task might finally get the training legs off im almost ready now wind looks almost zero on monday so that may be the big day it will be the kds450 qs the goes legless first as i have most spares for it keep ya fingers crossed

Its nice to here of other noobs with there small victorys as im the same and it quite intimidating when you here and see all the pros flying around in what seems to be an impossible blur lol. Im waiting patiantly for the weekend to do a few more flips with the 450

well i finally did it i flew one of my 450s with no training gear it was the trex there was no wind at the Field so after giving the 130 5 packs i took the leep and flew 5 packs on the 450 with no mishaps a couple of dodgy moments but the helli is in one piece i was thinking about also flying the 550 with no gear but i chickened out and quit while i was ahead ...... may try the 550 without the training gear next week ..... im so pleased i did it .... cant stop smiling

Had another good go today
More work on the half piro flips and backwards flying and even some dodgy backwards inverted flight and half a circuit or two
5 more flights on the 450 and three more on the 550 with no harm done

Really happy with the 550 now I've finished messing with it (for now) still might have a go at using governor but I think I'll be needing a 12t pinion for that, much better now I've gone back to 523 blades, the 553's were great for stability but the smaller blades are much more snappy which is what I want now
