Did YOU fly today??

Had a good afternoon at the club. The wind was very light, the first time for quite a while. Flew all three helis, did some rough circuits and figure eights. Then summoned up some courage and a did a flip with the 450 for the first time! It was pretty untidy but there was no unscheduled landing. Went home feeling quite pleased with myself.

Sounds like a good day then ,,,keep doing those flips- it does get easier eventually !!.

A good session at South Hants Helis today. Some good flying , some great company and even a couple of crashes lol.
I decided it would be really clever to attempt a chaos at head height !! And it wasn't lol my new 4 flight revolutions got mashup

Not that old chestnut lol .....one piro per flip continuously whatever that is . But yeah visibility was bad today the logos orange/blue really helped tho

one, two, 10, all the same it's a matter of changing disc rotation position, yep that great big roasted chestnut lol. I would have though the blue would be a bitch? I miss my orange & & yellow logo canopy that was sooooo bright

I had a few good flights yesterday. I tried the RJX Vector 600mm blades on the Beam and they're noticeably way lighter than the Rail 606's but flew quite well. I think if it was windier they would feel less stable vs the Rails. I spent a while bumping up the swash gain as high as it would go on the Total-G just to see how it felt right at the point where it starts to bounce and it's still remarkably smooth. I truly think I now have two helis that are as close to what I would call perfect (obviously a subjective thing), the Beam Avantgarde with a Total-G and Kasama Dune with Spartan Vortex. (if I was being picky, there is still a very very slight elevator sensitivity in fast forward flight with the Vortex but it's so minor it could almost be my imagination).

Coming back in the evening yesterday I really started to feel a proper winter chill, and it fills me with dread as I hate cold weather

Top morning down at the club again. Nice to meet you today Andy. Flew 5 packs on the Logo and 4 on the old 450 basher.
Nearly got piro loops nailed, well chuffed.

Just got in myself.. me and streetlugchris been down schc.. got plenty of flights in on my 550 and 450.. nearly put the 450 in but saved it 2 inches off the deck (inverted).. looked mint but almost a smashed heli lol.

Bit cold and i noticed the lipos wern't holding up as well as they usually do.. think i need look into lipo warmers and a decent pair of waterproof boots/wellies.

Flew in my lunch...was lovely and sunny at the flying field, about 21°C no wind. Was trying backwards circuits and inverted hovering both tail in and nose in as well as a bit of side on...stuffed the TDR, 550e and 450 Pro in numerous times....good job it was only the sim
