Ive never hear of a watts per lb rule for helis but it's going to be a big number for a 3D capable heli that's for sure, it must work out something like 500/lb.
Anyway, this weekend i had a 'sort of' maiden flight. This was of my Goblin 630 which i've re-built and converted to Black Thunder 700 spec. Probably over half of the heli is new and what's not new has been dismantles and rebuilt, so fair enough to call it a maiden I think. There was nothing wrong with the 630, it was a nice heli but it took different size packs to all my others so never got flown much due to lack of batteries.
