velocity 50 N2 Build Thread

Ok here's my header tank, its just a triangle of old Trex frame with a couple of holes in it, a frame spacer from a V2 as a stand off, and a couple of washers, fixed through the lower front gear box mounting holes. Ive also put a little strip of double sided tape between the tank & and header bracket to stop it rotating.




Ive done the radio install, set it all up & we are ready to go!!!

I had to move the balls on the servo wheels out a hole from where I had them on the V2 to get my 6 degrees on the BeastX but other than that I didnt have to make any adjustments from the recomended set up in the manual and it flew like a missile in every direction. I havent really ragged the arse off it yet, cause I wanted to shake it down a bit but even doing some gentle flips & rolls I could tell this thing is going to be a lot of fun!

I'm back to work tonight so the maiden of mine won't be until midweek next week, really looking forward to it. I just need to order a LiFe pack for it and that'll be it ready to go

Which governor sensor are you guys using? Can the Align sensor with magnets be used?

I'm using a MultoGov Pro with a Spektrum baseplate sensor but the kit does come with a sensor bracket & pre drilled holes in the clutch bell for magnets so you can go with whatever you like.

1st hard flight and it all ends in tears!!!!



Something failed on the head we think, low inverted went to punch out and nothing happened.

Boom, Boom supports, head links skids, main shaft, canopy cracked and my lovely 620 Maniacs delaminated!
