I'll have to let Ron answer that one, I'm a noob.

You can enter them before you first bind to the RX although it is good practise when setting up a new Helicopter from scratch to make sure all trims are in neutral and that there are no end points set on the servos or that there is any subtrim. Then you bind to the RX and setup the Heli otherwise the TX may not talk to the RX.Originally posted by Irishrover View PostGreat, I get it now. Didn't think to look at the switches. What values would be entered for a more advanced pilot?
Forgot to ask if these settings can be entered prior to binding for the first time?
Hope that makes a bit of sense. Basically you can bind at any time.
Cheers

Just ran into a few problems setting it up here at work.
When I move cyclic stick as below this is what I get:
Stick Left servo Right servo Front servo
Left Stick: Up Up
Right Stick: Down Down
Forward Stick: Down Up Up
Backward Stick: Up Down Down
My connections on the DX6i RX are:
Throttle = ESC
AILE = Right servo
ELEV = Front servo
RUDD = Gyro
GEAR = Yellow gyro wire
AUX1 = Left servo
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I entered Boggy's settings before binding, so I will reset to default and re-enter the settings again after initial bind.
Also after binding the red lights on the two rx's remain flashing, is this normal as they were solid when the bind plug was in.Last edited by Irishrover; 18-06-2008, 12:54 PM.

You may need to wait a good while before turning it all on again after binding, I found on my Skylift otherwise it would continuously flash like yours is. It says somewhere this is because it's using the wrong codes or some such, (fraid I still don't fully understand that).
Sorry I can't help you with the Swash bits though, but my advice would be to make sure from the manual which one is your pitch, as I'm thinking that's the one that should be in your aux plug.John

Thanks mate, leaving it for a while worked with the LED problem. Now the swash servos are moving in the correct direction, the other problem is that the gyro doesn't appear to be moving, it initializes and the red light goes solid, but no movement when the boom is moved left to right. What switch is for HH mode to normal mode as I assumed it was the Flap/Gyro switch on the DX6i?

In the Gyro menu you need to set the value above 50% for HH and below 50% for rate.
Start at say 75% for switch 0 (switch up) and 25% for switch down.
Then when you hover, change these gain values until the tail is held without wagging.
To give you an idea, mine is set to 70% gain for HH mode.

the settings you asked about for more advanced pilots. are basicly set the stunt throttle curve to 100% straight line!
the two gyro values entered are for h/h only i think beginers would struggle with rate!

yes if you want rate set the second value to around 45%! then when you flip flap/gyro switch down you'll have rate

Quick Question on settings
As a NEW Blade owner, I am still leaving in box and using phoenix sim. Should I change the settings as set out on the transmitter for model1 (have copied model 1 for backup) before I try flying the real thing. If so do I change the settings on the sim at all or just leave them as standard with small expo to get a feel that will be similar to the real modified settings.T-Rex 500CF + Dx6i AR6200 DSM2 6-channel RX
