I had a brilliant afternoon. MK was sunny as usual and there was almost no wind. (Quite a change from yesterday when it was pouring with rain and gusts up to 40 mph).
I had completed the setting up of my TDR and I flew it for the first time. I was quite nervous but Mike Wood (who also has a TDR) and Richard van Aken checked that the Spartan Vortex was compensating correctly.
It flew very nicely. I flew it at 1400, 1500 and 1600 headspeed. It was quiet and graceful. I didn't try anything too ambitious. When I landed after five minutes I still had 65 % left in the 3500 mah batteries. There was so little wind that I was able to carry out a trim flight . This tidied up the tail. I had three flights, each one better than the last. I had Rotorstar 690 blades on it. Next time I will try my 710 Radix V2. Does anyone know where I can obtain Radix tail blades 105 mm?Tron 7.0 advance Vbar evo V Control

Good news! Glad to hear ot went well
I know Droneshelis have all the Radix blades. Hopefully they would do cheap postage on something that small. https://www.droneshelis.com/Rotor-Bl...ail-Blade.htmlLast edited by trillian; 03-11-2019, 11:05 PM.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam

No flying today for me. Weather was good, but the fact that the field is full of a circus and the associated animals put a stop to any thoughts of going flying.
So, next time I'm there, I'll have a swamp to negotiate before I can take off. Yay.
key: italics = sarcasm.Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

Another excellent day today at sunny (as usual) MK.
12 club members attended and all enjoyed themselves.
The weather was excellent, no wind at all and it wasn't really very cold.
I flew my TDR but it still has a bit of a tail wag. I flew my 600 until the tail umbrella gear stripped suddenly in mid air. Fortunately I managed to auto it down with no damage.
The new thing in the club is the tiny XK 110. Two club members brought them along. They flew very well in the windless conditions. Our chairman Kevin flew one and he liked it so much he has ordered one.
(Fellow committee member) Alan and I flew our foamies. All jolly good fun.Tron 7.0 advance Vbar evo V Control

I had another brilliant day at sunny MK today. It was frosty and foggy first thing but the sun cleared it by mid morning whereafter it was sunny with a light, chilly breeze from the North East.
11 members turned up altogether and there was some excellent flying (and banter of course).
A couple of new helicopters appeared, a Buddy and a 110.
I carried on improving the FBL on my TDR.
Our Chairman, Kevin, brought cake because it is his wife's birthday. It didn't last long!Tron 7.0 advance Vbar evo V Control
