Well, the intervention of the crazy dog came a bit too soon but I'm very much looking forward to giving the 180 another try go and if I can put a few batteries through it without issue I'll call myself a convert! The 180 certainly flies very nicely, much smoother and 'bigger' flying than any other micro heli I've flown.

Here it is after repair and a test hover in the garden:

Looks tidy,fiddly to repair but good to fly I think,now I have dual rates and expo,it was like a demented wasp before.

7 flights today in perfect weather. I think I can safely say now the Dune running on 6s definitely works. Flight times are a bit shorter but it does have enough power and flies very well at 1500-1550 headspeed.

The Beam E4 is better now I have maxed out the pitch range but it still feels like it lacks power sometimes.

After spending the morning at Brands Hatch putting the Ferrari 360 and the Aston Martin Vantage through their paces, I popped to the Massive for 4 flights on the trusty 700 nitro.

went to new field to see if compass tail wag has been cured, but no luck. had 3 flights anyway

Went for a cheeky evening flight but it didn't end well. Got an old logo 14 and discovered the tail servo wasn't up to scratch! Ended up with broken tail blades.

Next up was the newly rebuilt protos 500 which promptly snapped the lower bearing holder in flight! Luckily no harm done.

Finally came the protos max V2, got halfway through the first flight before loosing concentration and almost binning it (been on painkillers for a few days!) so decided to land before.I crashed it! Ended up digging the tail in on landing and smashing the tail blades to bits!

Not the best session ever but looking at things positively everything landed under my control rather than crash landing so they are all in one piece!

Yeah all easily sorted. Got new tails back on the Max V2 and took that out again last night. Bashed out 5 really good flights with it, this helicopter never fails to amaze me with its toughness! When I landed it the previous night and dug the tails in it also tilted to the side so the main blades started digging the grass too. It was quite a rough landing to be honest and yet the only damage was tail blades!
