Another 6 flights this evening. A little breezy, but liking the fact the clocks have changed letting me get these evening flights in.

Raining on and off here, managed a couple of flights and auto's to test F3c landing gear, heli is alot more stable with no bouncing around.

2 flights on e700 nice sun and sky for a change, new total 42 flights for year.

I got a late start, getting to Epsom Downs just before 2. Managed a couple flights before it started to rain and as I forgot my umbrella I pretty much had to pack up and go even though by the timeI got on the train it looked like it may have been just a short shower. In any case I was able to test my two 600 6s conversions. Both these helis were previously running on 12s setups with pairs of 2600mah packs but with the goal of being able to share with the bigger helis I am trying them on single 4000 / 5000 mah packs. So far I am very encouraged, the performance is great at a bit lower headspeeds than I was at before (roughly 1700 ish on both), plenty of power but maybe slightly reduced flight times. This is going to make these helis a lot more convenient and they'll get flown more for a change.

Had 5 great flights with the Protos Max V2 this afternoon followed by a crash with my compass warp!

Video isn't great, it was done with a mobius stuck to my beanie with Velcro! Lol. I'm also doing things quite high up still so the overspeed at the end can really only be heard rather than seen!

4 flights this evening, perfect conditions. Really loving my Logo 480 at the moment, its just so smooth.

Another 3 flights this lunchtime on the Protos. Some good practise but the wind was pushing my flips and rolls a little to much. Still a great afternoon at the field.

I put four flights on the Chase 325 in a low field at the bottom of a valley. Actually a bit of a wind-tunnel, open at the bottom and trees on either side. Not a bad spot to smack around in but not much space for circuits.

Also had a neighbour's great-nephew come over to see what I was doing before scurrying off again when called. Another quad pilot apparently.

Ouch! I learned to be very wary of trees when flying my plank. Now I won't fly visually in front of an obstacle unless I'm really sure I'm in front.

I converted the Protos to an 800 and had the first fly today. It was absolutely flawless from 1,200 to 1,900rpm. I didn't change any of the Bavarian Demon settings from when it was a 700, though I'll probably drop the pitch from 13°. It's running 14s with Opti 5000 Ultra 7s packs, which are like dynamite and probably helped with the 290amp spike in the Kosmik log. The 130mm NHP tail blades look massive in the air!

The Faifa is always great to fly, so precise and agile... not sure about the Align blades, they have a bit of an elastic twangy feeling.

A great session today just a shame the sky was dark. I had 5 flights on the Protos and felt like I had progressed with a few things. The strong winds had started to knock my confidence a little as I couldn't get any move right, but today it all went together nicely. I also hit 50 flights on the Protos (after setup and maiden flights) and can report I like this heli a lot! In the 50 flights I had done nothing to it apart from oil the swash and tail pitch assembly. Belt's are good and the only thing to report is a build up of something on the tail pulley guide.
