Well, I flew twice today, first flight TRex 700 E FBL quite gently flown, bit gusty and we are now in a new bit of the flying field, hadn't flown for a while so it was confidence inspiring..... Second flight on the good batteries, figures of 8, nose in, this is good, tight loop on axis, stall turn, ooops, hmmm try that again, ok got it now that's good, liking this loop, oh, err fek, right pull push up, up UP, got it lost it BANG..... Oh FFS.....Blades, shaft, not sure if the main gear is good, but think so, nice shiny new tail fin gone, front undercarriage, well haven't yet seen any other damage, given how close the downwards, rear exiting from the loop at millions of miles an hour, lucky not to have totalled the bugger........ oh well, on for repairs now

Flew Raptor E820 this morning and after 2nd flight on removal of Lipos noticed gear 'snow' everywhere and the main gear had shed every 3rd tooth. Did have a big disc blow out at the bottom of a very large and fast loop, had them before but the forces involved must be large. I think one of the pinion grub screws caught the main gear which means the main must have moed or flexed or maybe the motor mount. One of the grub screws is packed with plastic. Done 350 flights with little maintenance. Time to strip her down and swap out some gears.
So got the Align 800 out and got that dialled in at did 10 flights with that. Was struggling with elevator bounce on the BD3SX but resetting all values to stock seems to have sorted it. With the 850MX 490Kv motor even 70mm chord 800mm blades still only just make it bog. Very powerful motor.Thunder Tiger Raptor E820 - KDE 700XF 395 - YEP 180A - Futaba HV 272/274SV - Bavarian Demon 3SX - SAB 800mm - 6.6V LiFE

The E820 looks like such a nice heli. Seen one a few years back flown by Rob Turnbull at 3di and it was amazing. Hopefully i will see another, maybe even fly one
Also got one flight on the 550 today, have a bearing problem i cant find but it still fly's great

A few flights practising Rolling Circuits UNTIL when I was coming into land the Tail Linkage popped off and it started to spin. Luckily I was able to bring it down into long grass with no damage...https://youtu.be/GknOpDobDkYGAUI Factory Pilot

Yep, DSMX sats installed and the Vbar neo works like a dream. Few flights to get the tail gains sorted. Running the vbar governor for the first time which was a doddle to setup and very nice. Bailout function seems to do what it is supposed to do, although i hadnt expected it to flip right way up from inverted. Thought it would rescue inverted. But having read and watched some videos i see that that is as it is supposed to be.
Lost about 30seconds flight time compared to the vortex i was running. Probably just that it was a very windy day. Anyone else noticed a loss in flight time?
Other than that it flies like a vbar. No noticable difference in my incompetent hands!

Hey guys. This will be my first post on here. Had a great couple of hours at my local field today with my Trex 600n. I'm relatively new to RC helis and it's been a troublesome few months. I'm still mastering the nose in hover and had a crash about 6-8 weeks ago meaning a new head n tail. I'd previously bought a new Gpro from eBay because it was cheap and planned to go FBL in the near future. A few weeks later, I'd removed the bend flybarred head, got all the parts and got everything fitted. I've spent the last few weeks getting it set up and also suffered a faulty cyclic servo, got that sorted then the torque tube failed due to a loose bearing.
Putting all that aside, it's now a case of little tweaks here and there while having fun. The sun was shining today, managed to smoke 5 tanks of fuel and came home grinning like a Cheshire Cat! Happy daysSpektrum DX8

It was a beautiful bright sunny day, a bit windy but can't complain. This was only the 2nd time out with the Beam E4 so I am still undecided, I think it flies OK for a 450 but it was a bit too windy to really tell and I still don't know if I'm into the whole '450 thing' anymore.
The Dune is also just not quite dialed in, I want to go through the FBL setup again and see if it can be improved. It's probably fine and the fault most likely lies with the person holding the TX.For some reason I just wasn't as 'connected' today, just slightly off my game and not quite as keen on flying as I have been the last few weeks. I still did about 8 flights I think and enjoyed the day in general.
