Nice morning down at the club although a bit windy and bloody freezing. Still good fun though. Flew 5 packs on the Logo which was as awesome as ever, love that machine and 2 flights on the old dog 450 which was utter pants. Still, a nice day and some nice raptor E700's to drool over too. Roll on next weekend.

3 on the logo. First flight was a run through of a routine I'm working on which went well considering the temp and gusts. Second flight was spent flying low and slow which the Logo does so well and then all hell broke loose on the third flight. I had a close call at one point but thankfully brought it home in one piece :-)

As the wind was up I dusted off the logo 600 for the morning.

Felt a little rusty as it was the first flights of the year.

Really looking forward to the warmer weather and getting some proper practice in again. Still have last years goals to work on!!

Just back from the field after a bit of 450 bashing 5 flights on mine and Pete had a successful first outing with his freshly purchased and refurbished 450 sport dfc both flying great despite the wind

Think I need a couple new 2200 packs as two of mine are seriously lacking power now

1 with the goblin 630. Lowered the head gain from 98 to 90 since yesterday on the mini vbar and just about right. Still a small wobble on hard stops but much better. Also 1 with the goblin 500. All well and I decided to quit while ahead!

Well got up this morning just done a 10 hour night shift got my batteries charge and pick up good friend mark and went out with my new 450 align heli for the first time as before it was a fly bar and change it to dfc head running on it is a copter x 3x1000 which I had on my hbk which has sadly gone as I was growing out of .Bit nerves she got up in the air and was looking good, tail was holding awesome despite the wind. flew it around and WOW see what mark was on about so much better.Had change expo to 100 and she was even better. after couple flights. was getting really confinable with her we then decided to up the idle mode to 100 90 90 100 as before it was on 75% and ohhhh my god after 3 flight she was I was feeling a proud man cant wait till next time big thanks to mark for helping with the little teething problems we had.

Managed a few flights on the 600N, was windy but performed some nice Big loops.
Also had my 1st flight with a DJI NAZA f450 quad, quite an experience so different to heli's.

Same here mate. After last year's fab weather I've put a ton of flights on my existing 3S packs and I think a new set are in order for this year!

And.... Relax! Yippee, finally got out for a flight today

Took the 550 Pro out to my local flying site and despite a bit of a breeze she was rock solid and flew like a dream. Cravings satisfied for now!

Every time I have the 550 in the air it just brings the biggest smile to my face. I just love the look of it in the air!

And boy did I enjoy the blade barking today!

Hey. I read about your ESC cut out. Which 550 have you and what style of flying were you doing at the time? Just interested since I have a 550 Pro and obviously it has no separate power for the servos and receiver. Did the BEC in your ESC still provide control?

Today was my first day flying in about 7 weeks due to being away in Gran Canaria until the 20th of Jan. Our field was totally flooded just yesterday so it was still wet and muddy but the weather was great.

On the one hand I was pleased that I didn't feel nearly as rusty as I thought I would. I had the Total-G working really well on my Rave ENV and a couple good flights .... then the ESC caught fire! In my panic to get it on the ground I set it down quite hard, ran over and pulled the ESC away by the wires. I was so worried the LiPos would catch fire and there'd be no stopping the whole heli burning but fortunately that didn't happen and the damage was minimal (blades, skids, front tail umbrella gear and obviously the ESC).
