... on a micro - just look! Bear in mind that a heli will only move where the swashplate tells it to. So, if the heli is lurching forwards, logic says the swash must be leaning forward.
On larger helis, you use a swash leveller, but on a fixed pitch micro - plain old eyesight!

Its normal for the msrx I tried for an age with mine, so much that in the end I learnt how to fly around it.

It's not normal! The ones I've flown didn't do this kind of behaviour and I don't think the op's did until the swash change...? Must be something amiss!

Any chance you can post a video? It would be useful to know if this is a violent "shooting" off, or merely a slight drift ...

Well I have to say a big thank you to niel aka oddsock for sending me not only the metal blade grips but a full blade msr, 4 battery's and loads of spares the only thing needed was a new fly bar so I orderd it straight away

he said he thought it was all there and when I opened the package I found loads of stuff so set about building the msr up. The main frame had no bars for the frame but I just drilled it and made a new one out of carbon fiber and it worked a treat

                      all the stuff that came

this is still to fit polished tail boom motor cage and carbon fiber rear fin

                      the heli almost done

here is the msrx with the bling blade grips and new o rings to take the slack out of the head

i am over the moon on all of the stuff and should be flying the msr by the end of the week.
this hobby is defo taking over I will have to buy a bigger house for all the helicopters haha

Well these ones are fine, have done upto 5 piros in a row with no forward or any drift

edit: just had a look on google and these ones don't do anything like that so clearly some have either faulty boards or servos or set up...

( we have 2 here they are for a 7 and a 10 year old to Learn on that's why I don't refer to them as mine but I have used them and watched the 10 year old do many piros in a row...)

Mark - the msr will have very different flight characteristics to the msrx. The msr is self-levelling - the msrx is not.

the msr will be easier to fly therefore, but no collective pitch helis have that behaviour, so it may be useful initially, but moving on, you'll need to learn to fly without the self-levelling behaviour.
