I am with you Mark, I am just getting the hang of hovering now but when I first got my mcpx I constantly hit things with it. Still I am not even close to being able stay hovered in one place just yet. Too heavy on the elevator still but I am way better than I was for sure. Practice practice practice is what I have been told from day one. Good luck from one newbie yo another.

Breaking the things that hold the body on sounds right They come off the MSRx very easily.
Did you adjust any of the servo arm lengths when changing the swashplate?
Does the swashplate look level when you power up the heli with throttle hold on and move the collective up and down with the cyclic stick left in the centre?
If the swashplate isn't level it will dart about on take off.

well looks like i have just been a complete idiot and getting wound up for nothing. I have spent the last hour reading threads about the problem when one of them mentioned letting the giro set as when you conect the batery you only have 2 seconds to put it on the flat so i conected the batery while it was on the edge of the table waited for the blue light then put it together set it down on the floor and guess what it took off and i hoverd it for about a minute then set it back down perfect

well it just shows somthing simple can mess with so much

That's right, tern the radio on first then connect the battery to the heli put the heli down on a level flat surface and wait a couple of seconds for giro to set its self level, and a way you go,clad you got it sorted you idiotLOL

get yourself a hotglue gun from one of those 1£ shops put blobs of hot glue round the roots of your canopy supports it may stiffen them up a wee bit

That's a good idea once I stop crashing all the time I will buy a replacement main frame and canopy then it will be as good as new

                  Right next question haha

when I get the msrx to hover and try and turn using the rudder it shoots faward is there a reason for this or something I have to counter act

Just checking ... you know the controls are different to the 3-chan co-ax you have? Rudder is the left stick ...

Then no, in all honestly - rudder input shouldn't make the heli shoot off anywhere. Perhaps you are unknowingly moving the cyclic as you move the rudder?

That's a known issue with the early AS3X firmware on the msrx that levels the swash on rudder input. I suppose it could be related, but Mark is describing the sort of opposite behaviour - ie. level swash moving off-level from rudder input. Perhaps if the rudder isn't level in the first place - it could be the same thing ???

As I understood it, if you didn't level the swash prior to flying by adjusting the servo link lengths then once in the air the AS3X adjusts the servos to level the swash keeping the heli stationary.
When rudder is applied the bug causes the servos to be centred moving the swash off level causing what Mark is seeing.

                              Have I got that wrong?

Not sure TBH! But sounds possible. Mark - is the swash level before take off? (aileron and elevator)
