Get yourself a simulator and practice on there, however just try a little at a time and try not to get to far way, put up some boundary markers and when you go outside them put the heli down and start again ! You will get there in the end.

        practice practice practice.

The heli will always go a little left on take off, remember this. Apart from that its just a case of making small corrections, and remember things take time to have effect (for example if heli is tilted left 15 degrees, it will fly to the left. The correct correction would be to tilt the heli so its actually tilting 5 degrees right. after a second or two It will eventually stop moving left, and start to move right slowly. You then set the heli so its got a flat attitude and it hovers still and in place. What most people do at the start is they tilt the heli 15 degrees right, which means it stops moving left instantly, but starts moving to the right now quite quickly. They then continue over correcting each way until they hit a wall!)

Make sure you allow it to initialise when plugged in.

Attach battery and put straight down until all servos have settled. Only about 5 secs.
          Happy Landings.

If you have a rtf version, you can change dual rates in radio by pushing in r/h stick, but if already set will make even more of a hand full. If you have a dx6i with it you can add expo in tx or lower the dual rates.

Whilst learning always fly tail-in - ie. tail pointing directly back to you.
Stay away from furniture, people and pets.
If it gets out of shape, kill the throttle, the damage occurs when the spinning blades touch something. This is only relevant for small and/or FP helis though.....

Well I can see this is going to get expensive broke 1 set of blade grips and snapped the little ball joint off the swash plate so there is a few more £££££ to pull out booooo

but on the plus side I have been reading lots of forums and cam across the mm mod where you turn the servo push rod link 3 times on the aileron

and got it hovering spot on but I cept reading and it said turn the elevation one time and that's when I snapped the ball off ( stupid fat fingers haha )

i have tryed to end to super glue it till the new one comes so al see if it works or not

Nope - nothing like a co-axial at all! It really isn't THAT difficult - but you've been caught out by expecting too much stability (the curse of the co-axials). Practice is the thing, and TAKING IT VERY SLOWLY!

Give yourself some space for starters, and set yourself realistic, achievable goals. Goal one for example should be to maintain a steady hover above one spot for 10 seconds. Once you've got a stable hover - maybe choose something else like crab sideways for 1 metre, then land. KEEP THE TAIL POINTING TOWARDS YOU!

As somebody says, as soon as you lose control - just drop the throttle (not ideal for bigger helis, but for now, it's fine).

But take baby steps. This, as you say, is NOTHING like a co-axial!

Give it a week, and you'll be zipping around outside and looking with disdain at the co-axials! But, you'll need some spares along the way!

Stick with it! - it's worth it. And if possible, find someone local who can perhaps give you a few pointers!

do nothing but hover tail in for a about 2hours of flight time. until you can hold a perfect hover and then side in. then nose in and so on its the best way to learn but a tad boring. but any guide you read says the same thing. Other wise you can get a sim but it becomes too tempting to just hammer the thing about and crash continually and it will take you longer to learn and give you bad habbits. you have to practice practice practice hovering as it teaches you the fine movements needed to counter any movement of the heli and keep it stable. Just takes time .

Dont get down harted about it tho im still learning but when I was at the point your at I would get really miffed that i couldnt do somthing but then id sleep on it and try again and it just comes to you. you have to hard wire the neural pathways to make it second nature and that takes time.

This is where it all starts :-) if you get past this stage you will be properly hooked, this is the stage in my experience that most people give up, stick with it and one day you will be wondering what all the fuss was about :-)
