Do you mean that they changed the plastic used for the cases?

I've just fitted three 610 servos on the Outrage 550 having replaced all three servo case tops just prior to fitting - so I'll keep an eye on them and report back if they fail again...

      Cheers,

I like the align servos in both my aurora and 600NSP and think for the money they can't be beaten. got some hitec hs 6965's linned up for my velocity but might put some 610's in instead if i have the avaliable funds

If you haven't bought them already, I would go straight for the Align servos instead - they centre better than the Hitec's. You want a servo that centres well on CCPM setups.

              No, they're made by Savox.

Already have them rob, on my lads pro so was going to just use them for now but might get the 610's anyway and keep the 6965's for something else, i.e. when my lad harry wants something bigger

                  I think

                  Align 410, 420, 510, 520,610 & 620 are made by Savox

                  I could be wrong

i was told they fixed the cracking problem. quite how they done it i don't know. different plastic or hardening process perhaps. i dunno tbh.

                      cheers

Unexpected failures like that are a sure sign of high frequency vibration, the kind you often can't see, but can sometimes (but not always) hear. Is this the Vibe you've got the Redline 53 in? These engines have loads of grunt but are certainly not as smooth as their OS and YS rivals.

                            Guy's,

                            Thank you for the reply's

Intresting to see that most people have no issues and means I'll stick with them for now and just an eye on them

The reason for more than one vote was simple you may have found the servo was bad for you and then changed to something else

Sometimes there is more than one answer basically

So thank you for the reply's and posts

I have been using them for a while now, over 6 months in my aurora and had no issues, i have seen one with a cracked case but that was after a crash

                                I have not used any align servos as yet but considering there does seem to be an issue with the cases I tend to think;

                                1. Perhaps they are more vulnerable when mounted directly to the swash on a CCPM setup vs a push-pull linkage arrangement.

                                2. They might benefit from a brace like the Blitz Avro uses.

                                3. They might need extra care to make sure the pressure on all four mounts is as close to equal as possible so there's very little stress on the case to begin with.
