Re shrink wrapping lipos

I know this can be done but can anyone advise on which size shrink I would need for a 6s5000 lipo?

Any pointers on decent supply would be appreciated too....cheers!

Actually that might be too small for a 6S, what are the dimensions of the battery?

Could need something like this :

100mm X 1.2m Adhesive Heat Shrink Sleeving 3:1

If your pack was 40 x 50 then the 100mm will do

Add the size of the 2 sides together to get the minimum size shrink tube you need

They are 150x50x52 I just can't work out if the measurement of the shrink is diameter when open or flat.

It's the diameter when open, actual size when flat is 158mm

So your battery would is 204mm total measurement & shrink wrap is 316mm total

So that size should do you fine as it shrinks to a maximum half size.

Perfect timing for this post. Need to re-wrap a 6s 5000 and just went to Cell Pack Solutions as recommended by Red3. Very easy to order and PayPal is available for payment if you don't like using card online.

Just for clarification. The diameter shown on Cell Pack website is flat so if it shows 105 then that will go round a pack that measures 210.

You need to find the size closest to what you need so that it shrinks the least amount. I know it will shrink to half its size but it will look crap.

Optipower sells it. Allthough out of stock, FL sell it, and i'm sure Midlands will have it as well.

This is what I used, but it is tight getting the cells in as well as a 2mm carbon back bone to make up my 12s sticks.

I've just measured my spare ones, and they are 92mm wide. This will NOT be big enough for Turnigy packs. The Opti packs are smaller.

Cell Pack Solutions sell in metre lengths large enough to go round a battery measuring 338mm for £1.80.

I will leave it to you as to whether you think this is better value or not.
