I'll second that for a vid when you can. I understand that flying and filming at the same time has its own challenges. I'm sure a few on here will pop over with thier mini HD vid setup. A picture in this case a vid say's a million + 1 words!!

I agree with you 100% Paul, the more people testing the better off we will be!

Videos - I have one video of flight # 15 but I was hesitant to post it because I was still only flying at about 75% intensity. I will probably shoot another one here soon with 110%.

Weight - I'm trying to keep it around 7 1/2 - 7 3/4. I've flown other "ultra" light 50 size machines and did not like it at all. I felt like I was forcing it through maneuvers instead of the machine flowing through them.

        Sincerely,

        Matt

Look forward to seeing a vid, even without a canopy on for me......

Just keen to see how she flys, the NSP will be needing a new home fairly soon I hope.

              question for matt
is that a 4mm flybar..we have been flying an rjx 50 with a 4mm flybar and we converted it to 3mm and it was better..slightly faster and better paddle choice..the n9 was 5mm and alot of pilots converted it to 4mm and said it was better and allowed more paddle choice to be used..also the 5mm flybar was hard on the heli in a crash.
also does the fuel clunk reach the far side of the tank ?
regards and nice to see you on here

I think its awesome that a top pro has taken the time to visit us. If only Align pilots did the same then maybe we wouldnt have the issues we get!! lol!!! Kudos Matt.

Yes, it's a 4mm flybar. I've tried the 3mm and didn't like how it flew in fast forward flight. I've also tried three different paddles now with slightly different results. Mikado 16gram seem to be very agile while maintaining tracking qualities, Raptor 50 Blue 20gram are very stable and smooth in forward flight but not quite fast enough on the cyclic, Trex plastic 20gram paddles were very close to the Raptor paddles. I understand your pain with the selection of paddles for a 5mm flybar. Fortunately with 4mm flybars there is quite a large selection of paddles.

Yes, the fuel clunk reaches the far side of the tank. My initial testing was with the standard fuel clunk and it worked fine. However, I prefer the OMI fuel magnet for consistency.

                  Sincerely,

                  Matt

Couple of things I picked up on in Matt's post is the forward thinking concerning the developing a 55-57 airframe combined with 620's...nice. There is no substitution for size at the end of the day and see this as a nice progression in this class of model.

This also opens a marketing oppurtunity for someone to Re-discover the 30 class by introducing a compact, Frugal, dedicated 30 class pocket rocket designed from the outset for Mini servos etc etc.

I follow this thread with Interest.

I know it might be a cardinal sin matt but what about trying the align white paddles from the 700 kit.
I had tried many different paddles on the Knight and only just this weekend found the align white 600 paddles to be the perfect balance of speed and tracking.
Obviously i am not anyway near your level but opened up the options to all types to find the best for my flying

from talking to various align sponsored pilots it seems more like they do feed info back but they dont listen. I know one guy informed them of the 700 link issue long before the model was released.

With the ultimate demise of Compass in the UK, im looking to replace my K3D sooner rather than later. This machine s currently top of my list for the replacement. Ill be watching the news with interest p.s. go get those flights racked up so we can all get one to play with
