    Like the look of it....

But like you guys say the final price and its spares price's will be the big 2.

The kits goto to retail under 300 pounds in the UK market to even begin to compete...

guys, couple of observations and guesstimates.

      1. it will be competing price wise with the vibe more than the rex 600 i'm sure.
      2. spares won't be close to a 600n, i'd expect a bit cheaper than vibe 50 tbh or certainly about that mark.
      3. the belt isn't a big deal to me, not too bothered on a 50.
      4. who cares about 1,2,3.......where/when can i get one is all that matters!

      cheers

It might just be me, and please dont shoot me, but I think it looks ugly. I know looks mean diddly squat when it comes to performance but it looks dated before its even released! Once again, please dont shoot me!!

I think the size of the canopy shown on the drawing is slightly too large. I'm hoping its just for look's and not the final size. I think the thing is that many previous or existing Synergy owners are looking for the mini-me version of the N9.

But that's not to say that some subtle changes to the N5 canopy could help it stand out from the crowd. Let's be honest look's sell.....

If and pls let's not get into the big debate on it, but if the Knight 50 was launched day 1 with a stylish visually appealling canopy it would have given the 600N a run for its money. So, a prime example of poor marketing = slow sales, lost market potential.

You get what you pay for at the end of the day, the Synergy N9 was never the Vibe or Mini Air, but a durable .90 machine that made some firsts and was flying off the shelf when launched. Its the only .90 I actually want again but flybarless next time round.

I expect it will hopefully hit the shelf between a 600N and Vibe price. (Fingers Crossed). My NSP will go to make way for the N5 when launched in the UK.
                    Cheers

                      N5

                      Hey guys,

Stuart asked me to pop in to your forum to say hello and answer a few questions so here goes....

                      - Main shaft position - I put the servos in front of the main shaft for a few reasons. First, the N5 was designed to accept larger main rotor blades (ie.. 620's) The increase in boom length affects the CG significantly. Also keep in mind the fact that we will most likely be flying OS55's in the near future and 600mm blades will be a thing of the past. Second, I wanted to keep all of the servos in a removable module for ease of maintenance and wiring. Notice in the pictures there are no wires traveling against the frame, they are all contained up front in a nice clean manner.

                      - CG - the prototype CG is right on the button! Both horizontally and vertically. My goal was to keep the vertical CG as close to the N9 as possible as this will affect how the machine rolls. The N5 rolls as good if not better than the N9.

                      - tail belt? - As I designed this helicopter I was also 50/50 on the tail belt drive system. After flying the N5 with a belt, I am very happy with it's performance. Sure you give up a little in auto rotations but the piece of mind you gain knowing that you can reverse piro flip the machine, drag the tail in the grass, and be as aggressive as you want with the tail, is priceless to me.

                      - flying characteristics - The N5 flys like a very light N9. You still have the solid tracking and forward flight speed the N9 is so well known for yet you are able to toss it around much more aggressively without loading the motor.

                      - final spec? - Yes, what you see in the pictures is exactly what will come in the kits.... minus the canopy of course as its still in development. The only difference is that the parts in the picture are not anodized yet.

                      - control system - The single shaft CCPM control system in my opinion is top notch. First flight on the N5 I picked it up into a hover and it sat there like it was planted on a shelf, no trimming, nothing! One of my dislikes about the N9 was the super long elevator rod. It works but it had to go in my book.

                      - spares - I'm not in control of the pricing but I will do my best to try and keep it affordable.

                      - Canopy - Yes, the canopy is still in development. The canopy on the CAD drawing is just eye candy right now.

I will try to visit this forum as much as I can to answer questions but I can't promise anything. I'm trying to reach my goal of 200 flights in order to ensure the N5 is solid for the public.

                      Sincerely,

                      Matt

welcome matt, hopefully you can drop in often.

can you confirm the weight of the machine? i expect it to be heavier than a rex 600 but hoping lighter than a vibe?

                            cheers

Would be nice to see some of the other team pilots flying these before release, to get other perspectives and experience on the machine.

                                Looks nice though!
