I found this video on youtube. Apart from drilling and screwing grub screws, can I follow these steps? ie put red threadlock instead of green locktite?

You don't need to do any of that, that's for the old Nitro.
Just need to undo the cap slide out the sprag bearing, clean and regrease.
You don't need to remove the sleeve

Isn't the owb slipping caused by the slipping of the sleeve hence it needs to be red lock tight?

By all means carry that out. But we're talking about a fairly new Dfc 700e that's a lot of unnecessary work when a quick clean out and regrease will do.

I am confused!... You were saying your owb over spins your motor when you pitch pump causing it to cut out. What will clean and regrease do to the mechanics of the owb if your sleeve is still slipping?

Right the problem with the one way SLEEVE is an old problem from a few years back with Nitros and V1 Electrics, If and I mean if the sleeve is slipping which I doubt then do the mod.
The motor on mine was overspeeding because the owb was slipping.

Clean and regrease takes 2sec and go fly

So if you want to check it's slipping, hold main gear and try turning head backwards. If it slips you prob got grease or oil between the owb and the bearing case. Does it slip in main bearing case or sleeve?

Hmm ok, I'll do this test. The main gear is still out but I'll see if I have time now before dinner to do this and will update. Thanks

by the way, I've had around 15 flights on this heli

@dave, any advice on how much grease? I would have thought a little goes a long way, too much may/possibly/could cause the rollers to clog, stick down and cause slipping????

Hey muscleflex, hope we (all) can find the solution. Did you mention how long you had heli, have you changed anything, has it flown fine before, what bits/ electrics have you got hooked up in there?

Bit late now as it's in bits, but on spool up does/did the head seem locked in? ie if you wang the throttle up on the ground, does head speed coincide or does head take while to catch up with motor?

Nope - I can't turn the main gear by hand the opposite way!

So if you hold main gear and try spin blades/head backwards it won't turn? Well I'm quite prepared to be shot down in flames, but I'd say your owb was fine.

My saved file (when run in demo mode) shows NORMAL CURRENT LIMITING but when plugged into my ESC, it shows as INSENSITIVE. Strange...
Anyhow, here's my settings direct from the ESC connected to my pc.
