Thanks for your kind words. I've use the plastic "braid" on all of my builds and, thus far, it's served me well.

I did try the braided sheathing stuff, but made a pigs ear of it and gave up.

I pondered for ages on where to get cable sleeves from and then I had a eureka moment I remembered I had some cable tidy from a old pc power supply, removed the old heat shrink from it and its perfect.

Its difficult to see but ive wrapped aload of electrical take around 'em for that reason, I was pretty worried about it myself hopefully itl hold .

It was there when I got the heli, I assume its to stop the canopy from hitting the vitals like the battery etc, I assume though lol.

Thanks Satch. I bought the stuff I used from Maplins. I just couldn't get on with it.

If I could find some fabric-based sleeving I might try that tho one day.

I think its the way ive posted the images :/, they arnt the original full blown ones but a resized scale version that I found I could use.
Its annoying when you have a 1024px image in the forum so the resizer was good at dealing with them.

Loom tape is what ill be using from now on

Used braid before and after a while it just looks a mess, also the heat shrink at the end of the braid rubs on the cable.

Just about ready to fly. Only thing to do now is adjust the gyro gain.

I've set the heli up to achieve -12, 0, +12 in linear settings and I've tamed it down via pitch curves to achieve -2, 0, +10.

I'm absolutely gob smacked that the pitches on the linear setting were spot on on both sides. Not one fraction of a turn required on the links to get the blades equal!!

I think u might want more than-2 in the negative mart, imo, it's up to u though

Why would you need more than -2? (Mart's im normal mode im presuming)

All of my other machines are set up this way. Is there a reason why I need more than -2 on the 700? Do the larger blades develop that much more lift that I'll need more to keep it on the ground?

In spite of my fleet, I'm still very much a learner flier.

I have -2 just to prevent hard landings, though now I just mini auto them all down.
