  • 700LE Build Commences

Well, I took the decision to get started with the 700LE build today. Gonna do it piecemeal as I don't yet have everything I need to complete the machine.

Here's what I've done thus far:

    What's in the box:

    The First Bag:

    Head:

Seesaw, Flybar cage & Flybar installed

It's going together really well thus far. Everything, quite logically of course, seems that much bigger and is requiring that much more degreasing prior to threadlocking.

    Martin

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

Thanks for the advice and kind words. I can't stay away from it. Just installed the swash, washout and mainshaft:

That's me done for the day. Tis nearly time for tea and my annual Father's Day bath.

You need to spill something on that towel, it's way too clean !!

Just finished building my 700e, very impressed by the quality of the kit.
                  Cheers,

                    A couple of build questions:

                    1) I found that when making up the links that run from the swash to the mixing arms, it was a real struggle to get them to be 75.5mm long as stated in the manual. You guys find the same? The rods are just about bottomed out in the link ends.

                    2) When putting the flybar paddles on, I was reluctant to tighten the grubscrews too much for fear of stripping them. As such the paddles will probably rotate on the mainshaft with minimal force. How did you guys prevent them from rotating?

Cant remember on the links but I do always do the grub screw up tight and never had an issue before.

They do need to be tight thats for sure

Thanks Ben. I thought about filing a flat on the flybar.
