Harry the Heli Is COMPLETE!!!

All set up done. I had to move the balls to the inner servo arm holes and managed to get 6.2 degrees for the coveted blue light. Got all the cyclic stuff done, everything moving in the right direction. The digi level was a godsend. Took the blades off and connected the motor, the throttle is going the right way. Excellent. I figure standing back, on spool up, a good half mile

Build thread to come. Probably tomorrow.

I've heard the awesome power it has and that was minus blades and not full throttle :gulp:
Man but that motor sounds really aggressive. No grizzly in the woods would want to take that motor on!

You should set it to exactly 6 degrees even if light isnt blue. Here is from BeastX manual:

Always set the cyclic pitch to 6 degrees!
This setup does not affect the maximum rotation rate of the helicopter but is only there to show the MICROBEAST the actual mechanical cyclic geometry. A wrong adjustment at this step may be extremely detrimental to the performance of the MICROBEAST. The blue color of the Status-LED is secondary and just for information.

Hi Vikki,
Im not sure about the BX but on the Vbar when using the inside hole on the horns and in flight mode with full collective and full forward ele I had a little problem with the push rod on the Ele hitting the anti rotation bracket. Also full negitive pitch and full up ele it just touched on the top of the tail box.

Not sure how the BX works but when in flight mode how much cyclic and collective do you have? Both the Vbar and 3gx end up with more as after the static setup you have to set the travel you want again in flight mode.

Maybe just worth a check as both Vbar and 3gx defaulted to a lot a cyclic causing binding.

Yes it is bigger and might seem a bit more intimidating but should be smoother and easier to fly so nothing to worry about. If you want to put in perspective put the 500 in between 2 700 at the field. Almost gave me a size complex :-)

Heli, BX let me set the limits. Elevator did touch but I adjusted it so it didn't in the set up menu. Will re-check it all today and sort that 6 degrees.
