  • Align 500efl Pro build thread.

I don't really know how to do a build thread but I guess it's a load of pictures. This could take a few days so I'll start with the arrival of Ginny in her plain brown box (very small).

From the plain brown egg a caterpillar emerges.

Filled with all manner of good things in a state of flux ready to be transformed in to a beautiful butterfly in a few days time.

This evening (drum roll) the transformation begins!

    Vikki.

Good luck with the Build. Nice and slow and double check everything.
Been there and done that, but never stop learning.
Now too many Helis to mention?

+1 good luck and take your time and enjoy
BT/Openreach suck! 0.13kbps for months! Finally put on a temporary line 1.3mbps (unstable) since march 2013!

Take your time with it .... i had immense fun with my Trex450 and Fusion50 builds .... even though its technically only a case of following instructions and bolting bits together in the right order i got a real sense of achievement from it and felt it was more "my" heli rather than when i just bought a B'n'F heli

Yep. When I built my 550E I only checked it once, should have been twice (double). But it didn't work out too bad, just a few screws loose.

Take your time, it will all work out in the end. A pound says you have issues with the tail slider ;-)

I heard this too, but apparently is very nice once you get it sorted!

I was helped with mine after a couple of other members had the issue with theirs. Then another couple had the issue after I'd had it.

You just need to gently file the plastic links and be careful with thread lock and it's all good

Thanks for the info, I'll watch out for that.

Can't say I'm comfortable with Ginny being a 'her' especially as all my helis are 'my boys'. I'm a big Harry Potter fan and a fan of Harry Harrison so I'm going to go with Harry.

Welcome to the world Harry! Besides, if I give him viagra he'll stay up longer - won't he?

+1 on the tail, I had a slightly different binding problem but a bit of fettling and it slides up and down the shaft nice 'n' smooth

Viagra, won't that make it hard to fly!

Yeh tail slider is a pain in the ass on these, have built one for someone and i had to fettle it to get it free and smooth with the screws locked well, but the rest of the build was a piece of piddle and took no time at all

                              good one

Just had a little look at the parts, they look real quality I'm going to be a happy bunny.

What, exactly, is the problem with the tail?
