Too true Tony I think most of the hobby is the enjoyment it gives most of us and also the friendship that it brings .. Cant say many hobbies get a group of men in a field in the freezing cold playing with toys as my wife likes to call em .. Only reason I am aiming for the B is its something to aspire to and a great sense of personal achievment for myself

Good on you Mike I'm sure youll man it. Only reason I had a stab at it was to compete but for me its not about making friends (bonus if I do), its about beating as many people as possible. Cant afford or have the notion to chase round the country after 'examiners' though.

So I cant compete, doesnt change the fact that I can fly better 3d than at least 50% of those who do.

I think this thread was to recognise the achievements of those who passed their A and B and to wish that who didn't the best of luck for the next time.. At least that is why i contributed to it..

Sorry to say it Timmy but if you want to tell the world how good you are then get your B and fly in competition.. That is sure to give you the recognition that you so much desire.. I have met you a couple of times as well and i agree with mike that you're a nice guy.. In agreement as well i think you might give someone who hasn't met you the wrong impression about the kind of person you are by insisting to make such statements..

Sorry to intrude on your thread Tim..

                    Cheers,

Your not intruding but stating facts Mo.

                      Timmy.

As Mike and others have stated, In the flesh you are a decent lad that's for sure but when you get behind the keyboard you have the "knack" of saying the totally wrong things sadly.

You keep pressing the point about how good at 3D you are and shoving it down members throats everytime you visit this place lately.

All I can say is I will be the first to shake your hand when you actually qualify and get your "B" test acheavment, I also think if you spent a little time practicing it you would breeze through it with ease.

Then whether people like it or not you could brag about how you "Wupped" the best pilots in the UK at 3D competitions.

Until you get your "B" test taken and actually get to the 3D competition your comments are worthless.

Richard Budd (Rainman) is watching this thread so why not ask him if you can join our lads the next time he comes and try again.

Try patching things up instead of creating more trouble.

You will gain more respect that way believe me.

Well done to all pilots who have passed their test recently. It's a great sense of achievement isn't it.

Don't think that includes you TimmyB. Oh well, never mind.

Well for what it's worth after Tim advised he'd arranged a training day I practiced all I could events before the day didn't stand me in good stead unfortunately, however I gave it ago. Yes I'll be honest it hurt when I walked away from the day with no B cert but as Mike W has already said it's an achievement scheme I don't stop flying and enjoying myself. I listened to both Richard and Ian who were very helpful/positive and in now way left me feeling i was a poor flyer, quite the opposite. Since Sunday I've used a further 1/2 gallon practising where I wasn't quite there. I'm still ****ed off I didn't get it but that's me, but rest assured it won't be long coming and I'll enjoy pushing that bit harder to get it.

                                Shaun
