Did YOU fly today??

Had a nice weekend with the pro, trying to smooth out my flying. Yesterday was difficult as it wa so windy but tonight was very calm and managed some nice smooth funnels and pie dishes. Still trying to crack big ben which I can do ok in one direction but the other I can't get the tail accurate enough so it looks messy.

took the rave out yesterday after work did 2 batteries wasnt enjoying myself as it was a bit breezy so started doing auto's did my highest yet, one was 50ft and thats the one that broke the skids at I was landing on concrete but I was chuffed as they were my first proper auto's.

took the 250 out today did 3 batteries, I love this little heli flies great, tried a backward inverted hurricane for the first time in months. I got round about 3 times nice and tidy then was thinking how I get out of it, it ended up ok I flipped over and ended up nose in the right way up, didnt have the balls to try it again.

Had a lovely mixed bag yesterday when I went to the club. The loops are well sussed now and I did some forward flips too.

A new first for me- my first inverted hover- was very chuffed - Phoenix is such a great tool

THEN- was playing with my gyro settings after my kids broke the gyro switch on my Tx and did a dumb thumb- I was in the sloppy mode 0 settings and had reduced the pitch curve in the middle to try and get it less senstive in the hover, forgot I was in that setting and rolled it onto the ground from half a meter Only damage was the torque tube gears, but guess what, I did not have a spare rear set, so that was the end of my flying for the weekend

Early start today to get into work early and get loads done - could not resist two 3 minute flights on the Gaui though as it just happened to be in my car. Great in the perfect sky and nice inverted circuits - really enjoyed it.

Yep 8 flights on the Gaui 200. Lots of inverted circuits The midday sun was getting a bit burning hot though & I could see my arm getting red after 15 minutes

Had a wicked day at ARA today some great flying only a few ins with out damage nice one Gary (flying mouse) and Glen.
I even managed backwards inverted circuits yay took a bit of effort that one, cheers Paul (sacko) for the encouragement :-)
Really loving the flying at the mo the standing in the field in the snow seams a long time ago.

Backwards inverted is where i'm at right now. It's taking a long time to nail it but it's there. I keep getting to a point with one move but then take a break before going back to it so it takes longer to perfect something & just does it rough instead. Like my basic foward inverted, i've just gone back to get it slower, neater & lower all because Gav said he's doing smooth inverted circuits it's fired me up to get mine better lol

Oh it was 8 flights yesterday for me & not 6 i'll edit the ost

Had a "different" day at the field yesterday. Put three packs thru the 450 and one thru the 500.

I dumb-thumbed the 450 a couple of times coming out of pirouettes and, to my amazement, I saved the day on both occasions, one of which ended up in me doing an accidental circuit!

An accidental circuit is still a circuit

Really all you need to be able to do is fly the heli side-on in both directions and just swing the tail
around at the ends.

Had a great couple of days this weekend at the field
10 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday
I am slightly frazzled from all that sun!

P4ddy, I was going to wait on backwards inverted until I got piro inverted precise, but seeing Sacko nail some really nice ones egged me on lol
Forward inverted is pretty much there even got a few inverted nose down pie dishes done :-)
Loving flying lately somethings just clicked :-)
Sooo looking forward to being able to link it all together smoothly, it's a shame work gets in the way of flying lol
