I went to the (sunny) club today. It was jolly windy. I had five very unambitious flights but I managed to avoid crashing it.

Saturday it was a perfect temperature and just that bit too windy for the planks. Which was what I had been waiting for, as I could finally get in some flying for a change, instead of waiting around. And, now after having a plank myself, I truly don't understand why they are all so wind-averse down here, I don't find it any more difficult than flying a heli in the wind and it makes takeoffs and landings easier IMHO :-o

My only plank is a 800 mm foamy. It really is a bit wind averse. Two of my club members have MXC-S models with v bar neos on them, running V Plane. They fly in quite a strong wind. Mine has no gyro at all and it is a Fokker triplane. It has a lot of drag. Even with 3s and a 9 inch prop it is a bit slow.

I had a good day today. It was sunny (as usual) at MK. There was a light breeze from the South and it was an amazing 21 degrees C. I had 8 flights and I took the helicopter home intact. That's a success.

It was quite lovely down here on Saturday, something like 18, light winds from the south, mostly sunny. Oddly, there was a bit of rain out of nowhere when I was flying, but I just kept going as it was very light. Still a bit of an odd feeling though. I think it must have been blowing in off the channel.

Surprisingly, it wasn't sunny at MK yesterday!

It was dull and there was a light rain at times. It was windy too so I only had two flights. It was still a pleasant day. A couple of my pals were there and we had a bit of a chin wag while sheltering.

It was surprisingly mild today and not much wind, got in a couple flights with the trusty 'ole T Rex 500 :-)

I had a good day at MK today. It was a bit cold but it was sunny (of course) and the breeze from the south west was a bit variable but not too bad. I managed six flights.

Finally flew on Friday and Saturday ( only 2 tanks) ,first flight since October, and was surprised I wasn't too rusty . Still not installed my Spirit FBL unit although I have purchased 2 new Satellite receivers to go with it.

I have been trying to keep up my flying through the winter but some of the days have been uncomfortably cold. Friday and Saturday were very good though. There was bright sunshine (as usual at MK) and the wind was light. I got a good bit of flying in. I need the practice.

I only just got back on here due to the site kicking me off and then I did not remember my password and the 'forgot password' function did not work. I got back on just now due to trying another password idea that worked this time :-o

I got out there Friday and Sunday. That was the first time since December!

Excellent weather today, took out the T Rex 500 and Compass Warp. The Warp flies quite well, but I gets hard to see. I think the 500 is the perfect balance of small, but not too small.

(I was going to post a pic, but the site now coughs up a furball if it isn't exactly the right (ridiculously restrictive) size, so I ain't going back to resize it :-(
