  • Next to no wind this morning at the field, 12 flights total. 2 on the Protos Max, 6 on my 480xx and 4 on my Warp 360.

Mixed day, some good flights, some bad flights, but all home in one piece so overall a good day.

    • Almost no wind today, flew the crap out of the X3. It was so stable and now that I removed play from the main shaft, it flew great. I am still having trouble with inertia in tick tocks though. I think I need to bump pitch up to 14 as I am used to 13.5 on an ultra light 360cfx so 14 might be a good compensator for the heavier X3. I have it set for 12.5 atm.

Did some inverted hover practice and nose right inverted circuits. I can't seem to figure out why my circles keep going higher and higher. I try to add more bank angle but then it drops considerably fast even after a little input

      • Managed 5 flights at the local playing field on my 180 CFX this afternoon practicing inverted circuits and transitions. I stripped and re-built the tail and it's performing very well now. Not a bad little beater for public places.

        • Flew again, first crash with my, X3. Even though spirit didnt have enough time to bailout, it did correct the level so it landed skids first. Landing gear broken and main gear stripped, that's it! gauis are tough birds indeed

            5 flights on Protos Max

Met up with Anthony and got 5 flights in with the Protos. Trying to go over stuff for GR but kept messing little things up. The wind didn't help as it was straight in the face. Got a little weed cutting in and tried some auto's using the bailout but need to adjust the min throttle setting. Still it was good to catch up with Anthony and get some flying in.

            • I hate it when the wind is in my face! You'd think coming from a gliding/slope soaring background I'd be fine but not with a helicopter!

I had seven flights in warm sunshine and a very light breeze.

                        • Just 4 quick flights on my 180 CFX today. Was hoping to maiden my G380 at the field, but too busy and didn't want to rush it. I still find micros useful to get some flying in when short of time.

                          • Got some practice in for grassroots. Set moves coming on OK but struggling to put together a freestyle. I have too much flying about in straight lines to line up for a move. I need to fill those in with stuff!

I'm in the same boat as you. Sets are ok but I think 3 min of aimless flying will not score well lol
