Got back in the saddle today with 9 flights on the 500 DFC (thanks to Rich23 loaning me some Gens Ace packs for the day) and 1 on the Logo. It's been a cracking birthday :-)

Another 5 flights on the 550 today, almost there in getting the inverted counterclockwise circuits done. Rush- flying as I had to pick up my son for his appointment.

Put 5 lipo's through the Goblin 500 after changing the frames over, upgrading to a 20 tooth pinion and some 520 rjx blades, really loving this bird now but still cant crack inverted tail in circuits, I end up bottling it and it comes in as a pie dish! makes a really good sound and looks good though, more sim practise needed to get the confidence to see it through!

The day started off rubbish but ended in 4 flights on the 500 DFC. Getting back my buzz and had a real blast this afternoon

Had 6 battery's through the goblin and 8 through the mcpx bl. 6 on the goblin were trying to do pie dishes and hurricanes but I seem to shite myself as I really don't want it to end in tears lol. 8 on the mcpx were doing the same and piro's which im seem to be getting better at! bit windy up there though and ended up with cold hands which never happens, must be getting old lol

2 on the mighty X7 tonight, slightly ropey Auto at the end of the first flight because I couldn't hear the blades due to a "trusty 600 nitro" being started eek!!!

I had 6 flights on the 500 at the field this afternoon. A tad gusty but some good flights. After reviewing the video footage it looks like I'm improving. Thanks Forza for videoing the flight!

Went down the field with 4 packs each on 500 and 7hv. First flight, first pack on the 500. Spooled up, hover, idle 1, quick flip, heli looks slow. Another flip;the whole heli exploded mid air. Flicked throttle hold and activated the lost model alarm. Found it quickly, what's annoying is that I have not even reached 1minute on my first flight. Quick inpection revealed that anti - rotation pin came off thus the blade strike. Servos are ok as I managed to throttle hold it before it crashed. Damaged parts were not bad, a set of blades, main gear, boom, lost both pitch link, horizontal fin and boom clamp.


After a few hours repair, she is ready to fly again minus the clamp as I dont have that in spares box. Ordered and hopefully will arrive soon.

Flew my 600 with a ar7200bx fitted for the first time . Very stable and flew some nice big loops very smoothly very impressed just need to tweak the governor settings a little
