Spent some packs maidening then tuning the Trex 700L on the V control and Neo (my 1st Neo) this afternoon.

I have to say, stock settings on the Neo (Pro firmware) sucked for tail performance, but after 4 packs setting the Vbar governor and tail pre-comp, it started to fly fantastic and confidence grew every battery.

That was my first proper (non V control setup) flights since November.

8 flights for me yesterday. 4 on my 180 CFX in the morning. It was nice to get it back in the air after a couple of months on the sick shelf - all it needed was a new tail servo. Then 4 on my OXY 3 in the evening, which I treated to a fresh set of head dampers after 200+ flights. Definitely feels stiffer now when rocking the blade grips up and down, but didn't really notice any difference in flight - maybe the cyclic was even more crisp than usual, but not really sure. It still flies as great as ever, which is the main thing.

I was planning to fly it on express before getting pro or rescue, but I wanted the advanced tail and gov parameters I'm used to having. It was only the tail kicking with even mild collective that was doing my head in. It's quite possible that the Express firmware has some of these things set to a level where they work across a broader range as there's no adjustment like there is with the pro.

I assume you can backup and restore settings with the V control? If so, I might stuff the express firmware back on and try it out.

you can load and save models on v control so i would think so, i always put a offset on vbar tail, then just go threw tweaking if required. also gov can have effect on tail kick.

Hi pete , I got a S/H oxy3 4s with 3 batteries , just finished setting up & trying it out , still only getting 2.50 times max , when I look at YouTube videos of the oxy3 most are under 3 mins , on 4s it's got a bit more punch , the flying conditions here is windy & cold so not the best for comparisons , looking forward to good conditions
to fly them back to back , Kd
