Beautiful day here today, but still very cold on the fingers. Got 2 really fun flights on my 450L. Also got to finally use my SJ4000 a bit more

Had another fly-drive session today. The protos max v2 being as awesome as ever, I feel really settled and comfortable with this thing!

The car is awesome too, really responsive and a fair bit quicker than previous 1/8th cars I've seen.DSC_0085.jpg

For the first time in ages, yes I did! Finally had a couple of flights on my X3 before my fingers froze! Given it's been months since I've flown a heli properly, just glad I didn't crash!

Yes I did - and it was blooming freezing...
I had a 9 minute flight on an FPV plane and at the end I couldn't feel my thumbs on the sticks.
It was sooo windy, the OSD said a groundspeed of 6 MPH, but I was worried that the plane was actually drifting backwards at 6 MPH & I wouldn't get home at all...

Another few flights on Sunday. Looks like North Scotland was seeing the best of the UK weather for a rare change, Sunday was a perfect spring day and near flat calm again

I did yesterday. Four on the Chase (+ half left over from a botched auto a couple of days back), and three on the Protos. Still a scary heli that but flies very nice.

Today is a tad cold... plus I'm busy.

8 flights this morning back at the old faithful club, nice cover to keep the draft off, grass drying out now after been water logged, I even took my own mower last night and cut a long strip so most of the planks could fly...how nice is that.

A few more test flights in the garden, working on the Gpro parameters on the 450.

It's a lovely day for it, no wind and quite bright.

24 flights over the last 3 days with my 450L and Warp. It's amazing what a big difference it makes to fly several days in a row. Funnels (upright tail-up for now) are finally beginning to click.

Almost no wind all 3 days, and today it was even sunny Bring on Spring!!

4 flights on the blade 450 with newly installed spirit pro worked straight out of the box minimal setup. Unfortunately the good old e-flite esc fried 4 one todate

Got three good flights with the RMJ Raptor, slightly more swash gain and tried some different headspeeds. I tried these SAB 690s but they do not suit it well at all, put the Align F3Cs back on and it's a day/night difference. I'm fairly certain it will be better still with 710s or 720s.

The gasser has truly come into it's own now, IMHO. For me anyway, it pretty much replaces nitro. For more aggressive flying the extra mass may be an issue but for smooth stuff 'big air' etc. it's great and I like not needing a glow lighter or a Dynatron etc. and something like 1/5 the fuel cost. I still love my electric helis but there's also something cool about an internal combustion engine and something OTT about such a big engine shoehorned into a heli airframe.

Another 4 flights on my OXY 3 yesterday, but the weather has turned bad again today. Had a strange issue on the 3rd pack. It initialised as normal but wouldn't spool up at all, despite having full servo control. So I power cycled it again and it flew fine. Have to check the wiring, as it made me a bit nervous. That's the second time it's done this recently.
