  • Only managed a couple of flights this afternoon. Hopefully I can squeeze in more evening flights before this bad weather strikes!

          • After a few weeks of only tweaking and tuning and fiddling, today I just wanted to fly properly for a change and damn was I ever rusty. After about 4 flights I started to feel 'back in the saddle' again and the Faifa was perfect.

            • I have been flying today and Saturday ,Sunday
8 batterys trying to sort out problem with swash on 230s
After straping it to a table to do flight trim and 5 trim flights later.
Its still on the **** but manged to get 4 flights with it knowing that the swash is not level. Aho when HH have sorted out the issue with the swash and find what went wrong we will find out.

Excellent! I saw the Vulcan at the Clacton show about a month or so ago. It's quite an extraordinary thing.

                      Love the pics Trills dude.
It is really awesome. There were grown men with tears in their eyes
There's something special about that intake howl that is just wonderful, and the show at Old Warden was SOOOO close up, the plane was only about 200 yards away, so the sight and sound was just breathtaking.
TBH.If they have the money, it bewilders me why they can't find the 'skills and expertise' needed to keep it flying..
It's not bloody rocket science, just a 2 spool turbo-jet from the 1950's..

Yeah I got some good pics. I'm so glad I got to see it and the sound is amazing, the howl and that huge rumble when they hit the throttles. Unfortunately Clacton was right after the Hunter crash at Shoreham so it seemed like they were staying further away to be on the safe side (even though it's all over water down there). I wanted them to fly closer but so it goes, still a real sight to behold.

                        • Hee hee well I think this was the last flight in the history of history...
So maybe he pushed it a teeny tad???
The commentator announced that after Shoreham, they were restricted to bank angles less than 60 degrees....
                          Yeah, right !!
The last 3 bank and turn manoeuvres were not entirely less than 60 degrees if my eyesight is to be believed ..

                          I'd say 110 degrees TBH.
I loved it when I was 7 and still do.
                          Good day !

                          • Lovely day. I took the day off work to maiden the Titan X50E. I forgot to set the throttle end stops and I think the throttle was out of sync with the collective pitch. Loads of elevator bounce and low head speed in the hover. The esc log showed max RPM of 1450. Just sorting it all out now. Also flew the 450 flybarred heli just to make sure I still knew how to fly without modern gizmo's. All home in one piece.

                              • A few flights today, had a cell go down in the battery on my Goblin 630 which is a pain, but as they say 'them's the breaks'. First time i'd experienced low voltage 'slow down' on the Castle ESC... I thought I was in an auto situation at first, nearly sh@t myself!
