Did YOU fly today??

Hey

Had a morning session at the field and got 5 flights on the Logo 550SX.

I also got another 3 flights on the IRC Vortex with 3 crashes and a total of £1.99 in damage. Its slowly sinking in.

Had 4 flights with my Blade 550x after being rebuilt after crash,flying lovely again ,and 1 with Goblin 700

4 flights with my newly stretched OXY 3 this afternoon. I'm lovin' it!
Then 5 flights with my 180 CFX, practising low level inverted hovering. Went well, but the tail needs a bit of TLC now. It's quite sloppy and starting to wag about too much.
Finally 3 flights with my Red Bull 130X. The tail hold is virtually non-existent now and I completely lost it at one point, but somehow recovered to land. Really needs a full strip down and rebuild!

Probably one of the best flying days of the year - almost no wind and the sun was shining. Shame I didn't get some action photos but I was alone. But here's one from the bench.

Great flying conditions here in Aberdeen too for a change. I only got 6 flights in as i was helping out another couple of guys get new models in the air, but one of my own flights was my new (to me) KDS Chase 360 maiden. I was more nervous about this maiden than my 600 and 700 helis as it's ages since i flew a 450 but I needn't of worried, the Chase was beautifully smooth:

I got the Raptor gasser in the air today. The throttle curves are setup, governor works etc. I didn't do much actual flying so it's early days but it flew quite nicely so mission accomplished

Likewise, that Chase looks great too! I do think this latest crop of 450/360 class helis has really moved the game on for smaller heli performance. I have an old Blade 450 3D that I picked up off fleabay and it really looks and flies like a complete dog compared to my slightly smaller OXY!

I managed to squeeze in two flights at the field today before resuming babysitting duties. Also caught up with the guys. A great morning, if a little short...

Could you post up some pics of your set up for me?
I am unsure where to have the motor wires and the esc wires.

Not today but managed to maiden my (new to me) Avant Mostro. Loved it! it feels so much more responsive that my old trex 700e

I finally got to finish the 550L build and get it to the field for its maiden. It was straight in the air and flew great, just a few adjustments needed but it needs a good few packs through it first.

Brilliant days flying! Weather was perfect and the new mostro was as epic as ever! Shame the esc shutdown on my last set of packs meaning a forced auto but got it down in one piece.

The mighty protos 500 was flying better than ever thanks to a new set of 473mm switch blades. So much more responsive and "poppy" now.

Now to go find a 160a esc for the mostro!
