I also got to hold a Vbar control. First impression was it felt too long as I'm still using a dx7, but it started feeling ok after a few minutes. The gimbles are so smoooth as well but what I noticed was a lack of unintentional rudder input when doing imaginary tic tocs. it felt like the stick was in between rails yet it was dead smooth when giving intentional rudd. However weather or not I would still get interaction if I were to use one I'll never know, oh it also had the short sticks fitted.

Got another 20 flights today, was really nice. Flipping and rolling all over the place. Gave tic tocs ago as well but harder than they look!

After a crazy week at work (started on a Sunday and involved Finland and Denmark and a 1am finish before we even got to Wednesday...), today I nanaged to get 3 flights in on the X3 just before picking the kids up from school.

Man I love that helicopter. I actually setup the Vortex properly too (13 degrees of pitch and 8 degrees on cyclic rather than 10 and 6...), and wow that came alive. It's so light and nimble, but totally dialed in. It almost felt like I was flying the sim, totally comfortable no matter how I threw it around.

And it piro flips even easier than AccuRC, I swear I can hold them in one place on the X3 easier than I can on the sim, gotta love that expo on the Vortex

I put a couple of flights on my X5 and 7HV this evening. Perfect weather, and it's not often I get to fly during the week.
