As the 450 kissed the dirt yesterday, I finished servicing the head of the 550 last night and charged all the batteries up. I had 5 brilliant flights today with the sun out, a gentle breeze and a balmy 10 degrees.

It's been so long, the 550 makes me nervous again. I'll relax after a few flights, but it's interesting that 2 weeks of flying something smaller affects you that much.

Yes I did in 35 MPH gusts and the bog standard 500 BeastX FBL lapped it up.
Was a complete hoot in the wind and very good training for my stupid pitch-thumb. I loved every minute of it, proper mental flights!
I dunnow - this heli cost me 300 quid used...why would I buy a 150 for 2/3 that cost?

I had 3 flights on the E700 and 3 on the E720 yesterday. Im totally in love with the E700. It is an absolute joy to fly Been flying my 150 in the back garden all day and getting my settings sorted. last few flights it was feeling spot on

Went to the cricket club earlier with the 450, It was gusty as hell but went for it anyway and got away with it, not perfect conditions for trying new stuff so I just hooned it for 5 packs

I reckon upwind speed was about 30mph and downwind about 80mph lol

We'll not exactly today but Thursday as I have had a good case of man flu. Great hour up at the field before I froze. Runway was covered in snow and it was blowing a gale. Love the 700 more each time I fly it. Very happy I took the plunge with getting it.

Had another go today down at the park (450 and BL )

Had a tail issue with the 450 (slider collar started backing out of the pitch control arm giving me 4-5mm of tail slop) which was interesting :0

The little BL was brilliant despite the odd gust unsettling it, i cut grass a couple times and binned it a couple of times and did no damage at all

I did 6 flights down at the club yesterday. The weather report suggested the wind was going to be about 10mph….. which to describe as slightly inaccurate would be an understatement… It was howling. Very difficult conditions. Full pitch into the wind resulted in the model hardly even creeping forward. All good practice though. It was more about trying to keep the heli in the same county than anything else.

I did 2 packs this morning at SHH(on my OWN again lol), but a minute into 3rd pack a strong gust almost flipped the heli over in a turn, so I landed and went home sulking
