FINALLY again yes - it was cold but transmitter mitt and up in the air, at least after realising its too cold without it - couldnt stand it longer than 4 minutes ...

anyways, had 4 flights on the 550, one flight on the 700 - agreed to give a colleague a hand moving so expected fewer flights ...

so I then took my quad out, that I hadnt flown in months? upgraded to the team black sheep frame, got myself a fatshark predator v2 kit, so some final changes and settings and I had my first FPV flight, had seen it through goggles but the first myself on the controls and must admit - like it .. though the cam needs replacing - didnt had the time to test with the gopro - maybe tomorrow or monday ... will see ...

Boy did I fly!! Been the field 2 days on the bounce and nearly burned 2 full gallons of Opti fuel!!! Man I love this Rappy 90!! So gracefull in the air. I need to speed the cyclics and tail up a bit to make it proper 3d ready.

i have the same issue i think i have traced it to a hairline crack in the main shaft causing mmovment in th head in flight. let me know if this is right. if you have any other problems let me know also i have become a bit of an expert like many others lol bloody thing

My second day of flying the 550 my eu20 was running all day for pack2pack. I am really appreciating the beauty of electric especially since both my nitro's are down with engine bearings.

Inverted circles and figure 8's coming on a treat.

Flew the logo 700 today, must get another battery plate as it is a real faff swapping batteries! Then took the T500 for a spin, 4 packs and even had a friends son have a bash, smile in his face was amazing! Thank god for HC3-sX self levelling!! Lol.

love the summer time shift ... been at the field from 1pm and left it at 5:40ish ... had some good flights on the 700 dfc and the 550 dfc ... now the temperature needs to improve to enjoy it fully

Finally, I have flown the Rave without any mishaps! Mission accomplished and I am very pleased. Plus it was really a bonus to be able to fly today because there was no flying at one of the clubs due to some event going on, engineering works on the trains botching the journey to another and that left Epsom Downs and with the wind I thought no way would anyone else show but one of the few fellow heli flyers showed up (and flew fixed-wing mind you). It wasn't really that windy but it was pretty cold.

Anyway, no dramas this time so an excellent result. Just to summarise the history; I bought this heli as airframe with motor and blades last year, it came with an Align 600M Motor but the original owner had put 5mm female bullets on the motor so I used another 600M I had with the more standard 4mm male bullets. On my maiden flight, just as I had finished setting up the idle-up throttle settings and was ready to move away from the hover patch for a proper flight, the motor imploded (basically the rear bearings just went to pieces). Soooo, I regrouped, put in a Scorpion 4035 / 450 I had for another project, got a bigger pinion etc. So on the 2nd maiden I'm flying a circuit, did big loop a couple aileron rolls then flipped out of idle-up back to normal mode and suddenly it's losing power and dropping, I'm wacking the stick all the way up to keep it in the air and it feels like a wet noodle, I think it's going in and then it springs back to life then starts to die, almost touches the ground then springs back to life again just long enough to land. This happened again a 2nd time because my first thought was it was a dud LiPo or something. Anway to make a long story short, after much head-scratching and being baffled I had a look at the Castle logs, the logs didn't show anything revealing but when I was in there I realised I had gone and left a rediculose setting for cell-count and voltage (which I had done to trick it into giving me a throttle percentage even though it first said it didn't have enough headroom - a little thing you can do by 'lying' to it but you're supposed to put it back to the correct settings after it gives you the throttle % !!!!!)

Soooooooo, it's fine now, there was actually nothing wrong with it last time out just my carelessness in not saving the correct settings.

It was a bit cold and breezy but had a couple of good flights with each of my helis. Club wasn't crowded, only Coolice, R4nd0m and Mike braving the cold.

done a whole gallon of opti today !! 600 N then got out the 700 dfc N loving that heli so much power had a forced auto as the fuel pipe came of whilst doing an alieron tick tock !!
