had a nice session this morning with my GL450, took it further up and a bit further away from me, thought i did ok, came home in one pieace.

Ahh Don, Sorry to hear that buddy, i have almost come up a cropper a few time this last week by getting cocky, mind you I was doing Autos from about 200ft!!! Nose in dropping it like a ton of bricks and flairing last minute with a 180 pyro thrown in and well it wasnt pretty it bounced which is the main thing, so I tried it again and it was marginally better but we are getting there, Nose in hovering is pretty much nailed as well. had a good flight today 5 battery's with the 450 pro nothing new just same old same old but i was happy
on a different note i also bumped into discoferret down there with his velo 50 and what a joy it was to watch him fly i can only sport fly so watching him practices is flips hurricanes and inverted flight was a joy oh and i recorded it on my phone so here it is for you all to enjoy oh the part i say"nice" is where he flow in a straight line rolled to inverted carried on forward and rolled back again with out speeding up slowing down and in a straight line very sweet enjoy

Had a fly tonight after work, finished at like 7pm just when it started to get too dark!
Took the align 700 up with two sets of packs, just to fly it around in normal mode and practice my banked turns.
Its getting embarrassing now that I can do half piro flips, aileron and elevator tic-tocs, stall turns upright and inverted and various other trickery, but I crash my 130x if you ask me to fly it round and round a 10 foot circle in front of me!
So I stuck two packs through it, low head speed, 7 minutes of figure of 8s with varying tightness. Long fast turns, and shorter more banked turns. Im still crap at banked turns. I either end up climbing really high in the turn or taking all my forward speed out...dont know what Im doing wrong
Very annoying!

I took my 'classic' Raptor 50 out for a few flights in the near perfect weather we had down here (Saturday). I had tried to fly it last weekend but in pre-flight checks I had discovered the elevator servo had a stripped gear, which may account for why it felt a bit strange when I flew it the time before. Don, Will do mate, I know what you mean about those Auto's, I started them from about 6ft then gradually got higher and higher, the hardest bit for me now is judging the distance to flair at to take the approach speed off before i almost crash into myself... 2 previous attempts i have had to take a step back, and the guys behind me in the pits are like ooooohh, and i'm like yeah i meant that... while I take a deep breath to calm myself down if you know what i mean. dont get me wrong i have aced some nice Auto's but you always try that extra something the next time. Had some awesome flights today. Managed about 20 consecrative piros inverted for the first time. Also did the first part of a inverted funnel. Hovering nose in tilted it up a bit, bit of ele and rudder and did one full circle surprisingly smooth then draped myself and flipped it back up and landed. Nice way to end the weekend flying,
Sim time is starting to pay off :-)
