  • Yea twas really good to see you all today. I was representing the Flybar massive!! 'Brrrap! Brrrap!' The flight you saw was with a bit underpowered pack (150 cycles) & it was right of the bat..no warm up which was very good practice for me. Just annoyed my day changed suddenly at work making me an hour late. Pete's sim training is paying of loads showing a HUGE improvement, very neat flying. Gav had i known you were taking pics i would have posed LOL. My flying stance is odd :ack: & you can see my double crown making me look like i'm going bald

Hey it's like training for a boxing match where you watch your competitors previous flights looking for weak spots lol.

          • Great to meet up today - what a lovely day to fly!

P4ddy - nice flying dude, when I grow up I want to fly like that....

Gav's flying is so smooth and nice to see that he has joined the fbl gang!

Now for the "ferret" - wow, you have progressed and the last two weeks spent on the sim really showed mate, your backwards circuits were very very good!

Here's looking forward to the next skive off work... lol

            Cheers,
            Simon

                        • Nice flying P4ddy. I can see you're going to be a contender in the Grassroots comp. The more I see what level I have to be at the more nervous I get.

Thanks & Ditto. Yesterday i tried doing all i could in 1 flight on my first flight & i was shaking throughout because i usually potter around warming up first. I want to get into the habbit of doing that as preperation as you don't get a warm up flight first on the day. Oh & thanks for the avitar I saw you had it but couldn't find a 2012 one on the champs site so i just downloaded your one

                              • A couple of flights on my mini and 3 more on TDR (low head speed, getting used to the machine flights, but managed a loop or two and couple of long stall turns - it hangs forever) . Field was windy despite the forecast, it's unbelievable how much difference there is between 450 and 700 when it comes to handling wind. I didn't really feel any wind on the TDR.

                                Next round tomorrow .
