Took my new (s/h) ElyQ Vision 50 Ultimate up for a hover last night.

Still a bit of trimming to do but she's lovely. Contrary to what a lot of people think of them!

I flew 7 packs on my 450 SE V2 yesterday evening; 3.5 before a thunderstorm and very heavy rain, the other 3.5 afterwards. This, return to my normal (learner) flying, was a big achievement for me. I've only managed a couple of pack of very nervous flying over the past week following crashes last Thursday evening, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.


I'm now looking for somewhere to fly a couple of packs each morning on the way to work (6am ish)!

Just got back from a mornings flying at the old field since they dug it up for an archaelogical dig. They have created a nice take off area where they filled it in so no taking the lawn mower down there anymore. Finally got the OS55 tuned, got my tick tocs perfect now, also did my first piro rainbows which looked wicked. Just need to adjust my vbar gov as it was "throttle pumping" occasionally and do a few minor adjustments. By far the best flight to date!

I've just soldered on my bullets to the esc along with the bec & heatshrinked them & then found i couldn't plug a battery in because i'd put them on the wrong way round!!!! I'll swap them round later as i've got to start painting now.

Couldnt find our old spot. I flew from a spot further towards the gate, I would say its about a 5x 20ft area with a hard mud surface great for taking off from.

If i can make a decision on a motor i could have my logo back in the air next weekend. Only if i opt for the same scorpion 4020/1100 for £89 i used before. There's a HKIII that's slightly different but it's £140.

managed 5 batteries on the T500 and all was sweet, apart from the last flight where i overloaded the esc and she fell out the sky from about 10m. only damage was broken skids and blades.

Got a lesson which highlighted that I need to practice harder, especially at flying slowly. Anyway so I had seven packs on a logo 550, two packs on my Trex 450 and four pack on my Trex 500. Managed to improve my slow flying a fair bit, practised some backward circuits and also nearly took my head off after bailing out of a backward inverted circuit the wrong way which left the heli flying over my head at which point I lost site of it and had to turn, only to find I'd also managed to stop it ..... about 10 feet above my head, all I then had to do was regain control of it to prevent it coming down right on top of me. Anyway after narrowly escaping that one I did some successful inverted backward circuits. I also decided it's time to get a brain so that I can get the bailout feature incase I'm approaching the same predicament again.
