Apart from the heli - what you need in my opinion is
TX - DX7 2.4ghz not the Futaba £70 more get's you a TX for years
https://www.skylinemodels.co.uk/acat...adio_Sets.html
Receiver Batt - now for me you need flight time and the normal 1800 versions supplied in sets are no good. Get a decent rx batt.
Align 2 in 1 with batt (This has a knock on a effect on the charger)
Cellpro are good by all accounts - others can give better advice on the charger side)
4 servos (Throttle, Aileron, Elevator, Pitch)
Gyro with tail servo = Futaba S9254 type of spec
Starter Motor with Starter Shaft
Training Gear - I have so your sorted thier
Case with tools
12v Battery for field charging
Chair & Flask - essential believe me
loads of patience
We fly at Washington Teal Farm estate, normally I go every other Sunday however some members go anytime they can no real major restrictions but weather, xmas have been a knightmare. I won't be thier this weekend, but should be the following. http://www.nerchc.org/Cheers

God grief I've just caught up with this thread and what can you say it appalling, I hope your feeling much better now, and I wish you a speedy recovery!
One thing I will mention though is compensation takes some while to appear, red tape and all that, so don't make to many immediate plans for your future flying to avoid disappointment.................................... .........
I had a similar situation with a road traffic accident and it took 2 years to get the compensation, even though it was an open and shut case.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong in your case with the compensation time scale and that things have changed since then as I don't want to depress you any further.

at the moment im just planning to learn on the sim , i do have some cash put away but not enough to go out and get a full kit for the heli im looking at.
im picking up , the pain killers really help but the swelling probably wont go down for a few days , the fractures should heal within weeks =) i want to remain optimistic about it all and just hope the compensation comes through before the summer

I do hope so mate that's an horrendous experience to go through and getting out there doing what you enjoy is definitely the way forward, the sim is certainly an excellent starting point to get stuck into, all the best with your recovery and I hope its all sorted for you by the summer.Originally posted by ApachePilotUK View Postat the moment im just planning to learn on the sim , i do have some cash put away but not enough to go out and get a full kit for the heli im looking at.

Heya and welcome ... Sorry to hear what happened but in this day and age I aint surprised .... Little gits always pick on helpless people and not those that fight back ...
I do hope its not put ya off the hobby and also for ya to get back out there and fly some more ... Good advice from all in here though ... Join a club then ya just need to put ya stuff in a car and go to the field then at least ya know nothing or no-one is gonna come upto ya and stop ya fun for whatever reason...A sim is DEF the way to go then when ya mastered the sim ya can fly the real thing and enjoy it ...Where all friendly on here and from all diff walks of life which is what is good about this hobby ... And also people are all at diff levels of flying and we aint like plane fliers ( well some of them ) and will help each other out as we progress to the next level ...Last edited by Mike W; 13-01-2008, 10:39 AM.
