know it well.....spent a small fortune in thier mainly on fuel though not a big stockist of spares though good for tit bits and small accessories and the service is fine, but that's about it. Give Skyline models a ring ask for BobJ or Nick or even PM BoBJ on here I'm sure they can put as good a deal together on a full package and give you full support also. Come to the Field and we'll or just me depending who's around will help you get in the air. I have a Compass 3D that's setup for training so you can have a buddy flight to spark your imagination even further.

Wow thanks for the advice , do you think they can beat the offer i have received from phil's models? lol bet you didnt think you would meet the victim on here.

i would love to pop down and fly with you , the tips and experience would be a life saver to me , can you suggest a better heli than the Raptor 30V2 as im told its far too big for me to start with although i will have to wait till my injuries heal and iv been told this could take 8 weeks with my fractures

Im going to invest in some software "pheonix" as advised , any clue what the full name of this software is?

              Pheonix is this http://www.phoenix-sim.com/welcome.htm

              http://www.skylinemodels.co.uk/acata...mulators_.html

The Raptor 30 V2 is a good heli is well built and a steady learner heli it has a long reputation as a trainer heli and sports flyer. It really all depends on what you want to do in flying and how quick you pick it up as most youngester are quick to get to grips with it an 3D mad then today even 50's are considered, they can be detunded so as to not be so high perrformance and as you progess you open up the performance of the heli so I suspose it could be said that in the long run you'd get more time out of it than having to upgrade later. For this you have The Align Nitro 50, Compass 50 3D and again the Raptor range.

There is a masive investigation into the crime and its been in our regional newspaper twice, i dont think they will catch them all i can do now is hope i win the compensation so i can invest in another heli , if not i cant afford to get another and will have to wait a year or 2 to save up as i cant work lol im dissabled and have trouble walking.

Again makes you wonder why they came at me , just my luck really =(

i like the idea of de-tuning learning to fly it well and opening up[ the performance as i go , i want to go down the nitro route i have just decided so now im open to suggestions as to what heli to get , my compensation is going to be about 4 grand ( IF i win ) but i want to limit my self to around 600 to spend max (not including sim software) , i really appreciate your help

My words of advice on buying a heli for you would be first decide what you want to do, is its just sports flying or aiming for the 3d clan. If the later your in a fortunate position in terms of your compensation and its paramount that you invest in good equipment this does not mean go and spend over £1000 on a Tx get one and Bob can help you on this too a tx that will delivery enough functionaility to meet your needs now and in the months and years to come. Get good servos and as mentioned a good sim like Phoenix use your down time on the sim and take your time in the air, I have a spare 30/50 size training gear I can give you so you don't need one of them. Then get to the club, join and let us even if needs be if you have transport (Presuming you have a car here) you can bring your heli to my house and I will go over your setup.

                      ---------------------------------------------------------
Please note that you need to be 110% sure that this hobby is what you want to do, you will never get back the full cost of anything you spend like any purchase second hand stuff doesn't sell for full price. However, I think the % of those that once bitten a very small % turn away but it can cost a small fortune over the years. I hate to think how much I've spent but its been worth every penny.

NO they are small electrics. Usually you find that heli's referred to in 100's are electrics and in 10's are nitro.

i would like to start with just your basic back , forward , strafing and turning then start going 3D and learning stunts. currently i dont have transport but soon i will. Im going to buy the software first and since im dissabled i dont go out much , ( a big excuse to spend lots of time on my simulator me thinks ). I would love to join a club and spend time with other pilots , i can currently get a bus to washington thats not a problem at all , does it cost to join your club? i will probably have to get someone to take me first time , no offence to anyone involved in the club but at the moment i dont even have the courage to take my dog out alone , my faithe in people was totally destroyed when 2 fully grown men decided they would stamp on a 19yr old disabled boys head to steal his christmas present. I think ill take your advise and speak to the guy you suggested and go for something that will last me a while. =) as for the offer of you going over my set up im sure my uncle wouldnt mind driving me over =) would you like some money to have a look at it? would you like to have a drink and make the most of it? thank you for your hospitality you are really restoring my trust in strangers .

You have no idea how much you are helping a boy that barely even see's any of his friends becuase the doctor says no =(

No money this is a Friendly Rc Helicopter Community we help fellow flyers out young and old and especially those that have been given a raw deal by society's low life. I missed our AGM in december due to family stuff this year so I'm not sure what the fees are this year it should be less than £50 it better be lol that inc insurance to the bmfa. Get the sim and a good TX and start your virtual training you can fly online with it as well so you can see how others fly and learn from them.
                              Cheers
